Tricot have too much energy and dynamism to justify downplaying their flashiest moments in their refusal to be bombastic. This is wise in many senses, but the lingering potential of these elements is too pervasive a presence for the album to shine to its full scope.

You ever have one of those ecstatic, unexplainable moments where you're just so happy people and music and everything exists and you can enjoy things and shit?
yeah.
Top 100 favorite albums of all time revisited: 40th place
T H E is one of the most fun rock albums I have ever listened to, and one of the greatest albums to ever come out of Japan. Also, its my personal favorite math rock album ever made. This album takes such a twist on the genre, and creates something that is truly a masterpiece.

this has gotta be the most Japanese rock album ever, which isn't a bad thing but it's exactly what I expected it to be lol. It's a lil too consistent tho cuz some songs did kinda sound a bit too similar, but besides that, it was good.
