I wasn't there to see the impact this album had, but listening 30 years later it's a good album with a few outstanding tracks.

A few outstanding tracks, but also a great idea for a release that I wish more artists did.

Edit 65->85: damn this is really good. Any kendrick with thundercat will always br great but this is outstanding. also the closest we will get to a tribe called quest and kendrick collab album because you can feel the influences of tribe all over this.

Missed opportunity. The ideas in this album are very solid at times but the execution is underwhelming

Not revolutionary, but some great tracks, excited for volume 2 and 3

Edit 80->70: after initial hype it really did fall short of being too great, especially by ye standards. Would of been a pretty good ty$ solo album with ye versus on some tracks. Overall ok but could of been great.

not something you would sit down to listen to, but a great album to listen to in the background whole doing work or other things. must of listened to this album over 10 times at this point and i'm far from sick of it

for me, this project is just so damn forgettable. i must of tried to properly listen to it at least 5 or 6 times and every time i just zone out because of how little interest this album gives. Besides under the sun, which is amazing, the only thing of note about this compilation album is that there are a lot of features.

Edit: I can tell how good an album is by if I want to come back to it after I listen and review the album, and this album is definitely the case. The first run of songs on this album are so good, and I find myself constantly putting them on.

Not as good as utopia but still solid

Inconsistent but overall solid album

Edit: I continue to come back to this album, especially the starting few tracks. They are amazing.

You gotta be in the mood for it, but it can be a good listen

For the most part not an outstanding album, but it does have a few highlights (we're dreamz, no role modelz and most of all love yourz). Don't see myself coming back to this album much at all.
