this really blew my expectations out... out of..... the... out of the ....
VVRED is incredibly inconsistent with everything. It is a large turn from VVBLUE's bubbly twinkly production to this more mid-range focused production with a heavy bass in the back which is great at parts but grating at other parts. SEBii's performances on here are braggadocious, and less focused on higher pitch and seem more condescending in a sense. The moments on this record can be so good or so bad, for example, the beginning of "I GOT BARss" is just so terrible that I would never ... read more
VVBLUE includes bubbly, twinkly, glitchy, and bass heavy hyperpop production, combined with SEBii's unique voice, makes a creative, unique, but most importantly fun project with some parts that truly shine (seriously the production at 0:53 on "do u care, if i stare?" is so good). The best track is "do u care, if i stare?"
Hypochondriac is very inconsistent but the parts that hit, HIT. The lyrical content can be incredibly grating, melodramatic, and cringey but the production and brakence's vocals make up for some of it. This album just feels way too long with too many unnecessary tracks and moments. Overall, this is an album that will more than likely lead to something more interesting, but for now it is just a bit too melodramatic and self-indulgent. The best track is "5g"
Bangers mixed with- wait this is 24 whole tracks long? Best track is "Meh"
Amazing writing, amazing singing, amazing instrumentals, amazing mixing, amazing album. Best track is "Please Don't Make Me Cry"
This great album best displays the group's talent in just making something fun & varied. Best track is "Not the Same Anymore"
This posthumous album displays Frosty's potential but not capitalizing on his talent. Still a good album but it is a shame that we won't be able to see his full potential. Best track is "GANG GANG"
The worst of this album is melodramatic, bitter, and petty, and very often, while the small amount of highs are bombastic and are genuinely great, but there just isn't enough of those parts. Best track is "The Exit"
Though amazing at parts, it can still feel grating at other parts, and it hasn't fully clicked for me. Best track is "Eat Men Eat"
Vince's most sonically consistent album with unique sampling choices, interesting production, and a great voice for the topics at hand. Best track is "LAW OF AVERAGES"
I'm not sure I understand what is liked so much about this album, worse than his past works though still relatively good.
