Album cover so good I made it my AOTY pfp. It's Gris but without all the noise and depressing vocals, now you'd think that means I wouldn't like it anymore but no, it's still awesome music. The cover is probably what you will feel like throughout some of these tracks cause man they know how to put the atmosphere in atmo-black.

This was one of my first ratings on the site, and I was obsessed with the premise of the album at the time, so it makes sense I gave it such a high rating originally. But now that I've expanded my tastes in extreme metal drastically, this just doesn't stand out as much. The more I listen to Behemoth, the clearer the source of their fame becomes. It's hard to dislike their music when it's this brutal, aggressive yet entertaining, and Demigod only enforces this.

Archspire haters will say their music all sounds the same and then give this an 80+
Jokes aside, this is surprisingly my highlight of April 10th 2026, even though I was far more hyped for Archspire and Inferi's outputs. Incredibly consistent, down-to-earth death metal that, while a bit repetitive, has enough ideas peppered in to keep it enjoyable, and a great time. I'll definitely be looking into their discography later down the line.
