100

This is absolutely timeless and perfect, been in love with this band since the early 2000's, Is This It sits at the throne, the rest of the discography is also really, reeeeeally good, but this is so efortlessly fun and enjoyable.

None of these 35 minutes are a waste, this album's aesthetic is unmatched. The tracks are undeniably smooth, sexy and invigorating.

Balance and Composure - Light We Made
90

This album brings me great joy, i can listen to it for hours without getting bored, i think that the production is good, the choice of instrumentals fit like a glove, the tracks are versatile in a way that just feels coozy. I don't have anything bad to say about the lyrics nor the change of style, i simply just like it a lot.

Pusha T - DAYTONA
90

This slaps so hard, as far as i can see, the only bad thing on this album is the lenght, but King Push always knew when to leave, maybe it was for the best, still a masterpiece.

Top notch lyrics, beats, ad-libs; This is the type of music that make you feel like a super villain.

Pusha T - It's Almost Dry
92

After listening to it for a couple of weeks, it grew a lot on me, this is special for sure, i dare say even better than Daytona.

The man makes slanging dope look like the purest form of art, there are bars for days. It shows that even as a family man, keeping some distance from the stove, he still has a lot of contacts and respect, if he wanted to come back it would be on an instant, absolute menace.

Saba - Bucket List Project
75

The album opens up with some hard hitting tracks, sadly i can't say that about some songs on the second half tho. I was going to give this a higher score based on nostalgia, but after listening to it for the past week i've decided to go with the general rataing.

Still one of my most cherished albums, could relate to the lyrics even living in another country, it connected to me, the upbringings of where i grew at weren't so different. To this day i still jam In Loving Memory, Stoney and GPS to ... read more

Porcupine Tree - Fear of a Blank Planet
96

Everytime i hear Fear of a Blank Planet, i crave more, more Porcupine, more Tree, i just jump right into the rabbit hole of discography.

Have you ever felt empty? When you were an angsty teenager, or even now you are feeling it maybe? This album talks about this kind of situation. Very moody, but it quickly switches gears to heavy tones and intese melodies, just jump back into moodiness again, the shifts are welcomed and very gripping during the songs.

Sum 41 - All Killer No Filler
74

Such a classic, there are some fillers for sure tho, but good energy all throughout.

Sleep Token - Take Me Back to Eden
30

Yeah, modern metal is something that really doesn't click. Maybe if they put Subway Surfers gameplay or GTA 5 Car Parkour in the vids it could be a 40?

WEEL YEAH I SPIT BLOOD WHEN I WAKE UP

Of Mice & Men - The Flood
78

That Shailey and Austin combo was crazy memorable, even if i grew out of it, i can still say that this is one of the most legendary albums for the scene, nothing interesting happened after Shailey left.

Golden Age of Metalcore.

Frank Ocean - channel ORANGE
91

Channel Orange and Nostalgia, Ultra have way more personality than Blonde.

Architects - For Those That Wish To Exist
42

There are some enjoyable segments here and there but damn, so generic. A lot of copy paste modern metal antics that im very tired to hear everytime one of these bands releases something.

Deftones - Koi No Yokan
100

There's a sense of maturity and refinement in Koi No Yokan that sets it apart from the rest of the discography. They poured their heart and soul into crafting this one and you can feel it, a pure work of art that continues to age like fine wine.

Deserves a lot more recognition than what it currently has, the soundscape is astoundingly etheral at times, along with flawless drum work.

emawk - allthefeels
86

I feel like this slipped from a lot of radars, Emawk makes very good music, it sounds sincere and from the soul. For a 3 track EP, this offers plenty of good hearted melodies.

Rag'n'Bone Man - Human
32

The guy has a great voice but didn't hear Uncle Ben's advice about great responsabilty shtick. It's not even about how Human became one of the most obnoxious songs in existence, but about every other track being so mid that is not even entertaining.

A friend came to me and said "Listen to this guy, this album is on my top 5" i mean, i know that taste is subjective in the end, but come on, top 5 is crazy. This is what i imagine people who say that they listen to everything are ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - Wolf
89

By far my favorite Tyler album, the friction between Wolf and Sam was one of the most entertaining things to me when it finally clicked. The creativity on this thing is trough the roof, it's not an agressive album, it's just a bunch of personality with therapist intermissions.

TOOL - 10,000 Days
100

Grew up listening to Mer De Noms and to this very day i cry when Judith starts to play, hearing 10,00 Days for the first time is an experience i could never forget, every song is fun to listen to and the range of lyrics in this thing is something i can't explain.

Vicarious hits hard, Jambi hits hard, Wings Pt.1 and 2 made me cry like a watermelon on a Gallagher comedy show, but luckly my eyes can dry while i groove to The Pot, Lost Keys and Rosetta Stoned. This album is special man.

Earl Sweatshirt - I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside
88

Man, watching Earl's journey trough his music is surely something, and not for everybody, the more recent albums show what im saying very clearly, the man is creative and a great lyricist.

I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside is dark, you can hear anger, pain, sadness, it came out while i was going trough a lot of hardship, so when those emotions connect with you trough the song, you feel it in a different perspective, helped me think a lot.

Isaiah Rashad - Cilvia Demo
88

Isaiah's performance on Cilvia Demo is astoundingly good, considering that this was made on a period of hardship and mental anguish. Straight back from 2014 and still hitting hard as a brick.

Real Estate - In Mind
75

Im a sucker for gorgeous melodies, these guys didn't reivent the wheel, but they put it to good use. Well made, interesting tracks, with cohesion and pretty light on the ears.
