Atmosphere - God Loves Ugly

I've always thought this group was garbo. No one is changing my mind.

Moderately interesting beats/rhymes for naive drunk ass college kids.

Big K.R.I.T. - 4eva Is a Mighty Long Time

This album definitely delivers a consistent set of southern rap tracks.

Nothing incredible or very original, but very well done for what it is.

Joy Division - Substance
90

hard hitting collection of songs. Some of the bands best tracks in my opinion.

Butthole Surfers - Locust Abortion Technician
89

Nothing else makes me laugh so childishly.

a hoot

Misfits - Walk Among Us

Classsic shit. plus i mean like... halloween and shit

boy pablo - Roy Pablo

Such real feeling comes out it Boy Pablo's layed back blend chill-pop and indie rock.

His unique voice has a lulling quality... Kilt it.

The Jesus Lizard - Liar

A stellar intro to noise. I really love the thunderous rolling feeling this thing gives!

Swans - Filth
NR

Listening to this whole thing is like an auditory fist fight in some kind of horrible shit hole. That said, the aesthetic is really powerful here...

One of those things that's well done... but just .. hard to listen to...

Stevie Wonder - Talking Book
96

Dude. As much as I don't personally like the style as much as others.... this thing floored me...

The Chameleons - Strange Times
90

Some of the best of there guys I've heard.

Every track is solid. Some of their heavier shit too....

Swans - The Seer
96

I digested this album slowly. I honestly thought it was boring and repetitive until I gave it a chance all at once in its totality. I think albums like this are really not like "albums full of songs" so much as they are soundtracks to some imaginary world or some shit like that.

For me, this album was best taken as sonic journey through some creepy imaginary landscape. Like the album's cover and like the images it conjures up, the dark tones of the album make up most of its mass. ... read more

Swans - White Light from the Mouth of Infinity
99

If an album ever had an "Aura" this one does. Damn.

Wiki - No Mountains in Manhattan
84

Some of the best rap I heard this year for sure...

Protomartyr - Relatives in Descent
85

I thought that The Agent Intellect was slightly better than this...

However, it's growing on me so... maybe I'll come back and change this.

The quirky guitar, lyrical oddballness, and disonant post-punk feels are stronger on this album. That said, it's definitely less 'catchy' than their other stuff.

Galaxie 500 - On Fire
86

Overrated as far as slowcore/shoegaze genre imo...

The songs are all simpler and less emotive than other works of similar style...

"I STOOD IN LIIIIINE AND ATE MY TWINKIE"
I sympathize with this

The Cure - Disintegration
85

If I had found this in a different time... I'd probably say it was the best shit ever...

"Pictures of you" tho...

Slowdive - Slowdive
81

I loved this and it felt really well put together...

It just gets kinda uniform tbh and doesn't stick around...
