2 cut songs from Peyton's debut FOR HIS OR HER EARS ONLY, and honestly? They're pretty damn good!
Thanks @PeytonHezekiah for recommending your own music to me whenever you drop I'd miss shit otherwise
TWO WILLS is this really slow, vibey song with what would've been one of the best vocal performances on the album if it was left on, honestly shocked that this one got cut but at least we have it now, it's genuinely an incredible track. SONG IF WE HAD BEEN DATING! is a ... read more
Well, I said I might write a review in a few days, here's that.
"Every album drop I just get better" HE AIN'T LYING THOUGH, AOTY CONTENDER RIGHT HERE
HYPERYOUTH is everything that Joey Valence tweeted about it. I love hardcore hip hop so much, and this is just some of the best I've ever fucking heard. Joey's production has always been incredible from The Underground Sound EP to now, but it's really on another level here. The beats are all so energetic and ... read more
The fact that this has the same score as † by Justice should be an indicator of its quality.
I had never heard of Ninajirachi before this album, and I found out about this album because she posted about it on twitter, and god damn I am so glad I saw that tweet man. I like Electro House, and I love Electropop, and the way those 2 are blended on here is genuinely incredible. This album is so fun from start to finish, it's consistently incredible, the first half would probably be just ... read more
This is one of the greatest songs ever made man, I need a Quadeca produced Dev album
God DAMN what a debut.
I really liked QUEEF JERKY, it was a silly band that made silly music that sometimes unironically went hard, but was mostly trash, however the trash QJ songs were still pretty enjoyable because of Dev Lemons' contributions. I'm not surprised that I loved this as much as I did, no hate to Nick Green but he was weighing this woman down, because this is just the best music she's ever made.
Not gonna say much more, I'm writing this review on my phone in ... read more
Hundred Acre Wrist is like probably better, but I just love the production on this entire mixtape so much.
Sematary is a pretty inconsistent artist, he has a lot of music that I adore and a lot that I think is a bit dogshit, but one thing is certain, any time he worked with Ghost Mountain, he would only make bangers.
For some reason Sem and GM are just such a dynamic duo, and I'm so glad that they're friends again and we have this and Hundred Acre Wrist on streaming finally because ... read more
What's better than music? Music with visuals oh yeah.
No joke, this might be the greatest movie I have ever seen, it's perfect. Vanisher, Horizon Scraper is an album that I think works because of the vibes it brings to the table, and because of that, a visual component could either go very very right, or very very wrong, and luckily, it goes right here.
Every single part of this matches the vibe of the music perfectly, Ben splashing around in the water for an hour and 6 minutes, the ... read more
He did it, he topped IDMTHY
Is a day long enough to call an album one of my favourites, if not my favourite of all time? No, absolutely fucking not, but I don't care, this might be the best music I've ever listened to.
I'm an AOTY user, so of course, since GODSTAINED dropped back in March, I've been trying not to go crazy every second until this album came out, I mean come on, it's AOTY we're talking about Quadeca is practically our god at this point and an ... read more
An album that opens with one of the highest rated songs in the history of the site, can't go wrong with that.
Bloom isn't an album I have a lot to talk about, it's not an album like Monarch of Monsters or Twin Fantasy that I have a personal connection to, it's not a concept album that I can turn into an essay like The Mollusk or OK Computer, it's just an incredible piece of art.
Every second of this album is spellbinding, I feel like the only way to describe this ... read more
This review contains spoilers for She Wanted to Leave / (Reprise), if you haven't listened to The Mollusk before reading this, please go do that, in it's entirety, from start to finish, it's a pretty short album, and I promise you it is worth it.
A comedy masterpiece.
Ween is such an odd band to me, I can't describe them as anything but a comedy band, but every joke they play, they play it entirely straight.

i SWEAR Tweakin' uses the sample from the beginning of Workinonit by J Dilla
This doesn't really feel like a full on Tyler album to me. Don't get me wrong I like it, glad we got it, it's 10 short bangers minus Mommanem but it just sorta feels like a side project, something to hold us over before the real thing.
But hey, at least it's fire, it's kinda like cherry bomb but the normal people who's ears aren't fucked can enjoy it too
father still has like one of the best music videos ever man
Jim Legxacy is an artist that I've known of for a while, never really listened to him, but ever since father dropped and was unavoidable for a bit, I've been waiting, and the wait was well worth it. This album is fun, it's catchy, it goes hard, it's got some great writing, it's just a great time, by far one of the best UK hip hop albums I've ever heard that isn't just Little Simz
In this gaudy apartment complex...
Indietronica is one of my favourite genres of all time, tons of my favourite albums and artists of all time fall under that label, it's such an incredible genre, from the indie rock sound and fast pace of an artist like underscores, the dreamy, psychedelic soundscapes of a band like Animal Collective, the entirety of folktronica with artists like Four-Tet and Mid-Air Thief, or the more synth heavy, slower vibe of an artist like LCD Soundsystem, ... read more
Wow.
As a cohesive album experience, I can't really point to what exactly makes this album work so well, other than the fact that simply every single song on here is one of Elliott Smith's best songs, the top 12 Elliott songs are found on this 12 song tracklist. The instrumentation on here is great, it sounds so varied and unique while still sticking to the sound he was building up to on Roman Candle and S/T, and this is just the best singing on any of his albums by far, ... read more
Now if this was his debut, it would have been impressive as fuck.
Exactly 1 year and 1 week after Elliott's debut album Roman Candle, is the self titled record. S/T is a much more impressive album than Roman Candle, this album is full of incredible instrumentals, fantastic vocal performances, and some of the best writing on any of Elliott's albums. This is by far the darkest in thematic tone of any of his albums, but at the same time it's such a beautiful piece of music, I ... read more
A pretty great debut all things considered.
I'd probably call Elliott Smith one of the greatest folk artists of all time, I think a lot of his music could genuinely be called perfect, and while this album definitely has some high moments like the title track, Condor Ave, and Last Call, it never really seems to be able to match up in quality with some of Elliott's later music, especially S/T and Either/Or which are the records that came out directly after this one.
At most, I think ... read more
Kero Kero Bonito deep dive 5/5
A good finale don't get me wrong, honestly an incredible one, but PLEASE, PLEASE SARAH, PLEASE GUS, PLEASE WHARF, COME BACK PLEEEEAAAAASE
Civilisation is a combination of KKB's last 2 EPs, and the bonus track (which is really just an interlude) Gateway, combined into this short, 7 track, 27 minute little experience, and damn is it great. This compilation takes everything I loved about Time 'n' Place, while also going back to the electropop ... read more

Perfect music.
Time 'n' Place is the album I'm most familiar with from KKB's discography, I listened to it almost immediately after hearing TOTEP for the first time and I've loved it ever since, though I haven't gone back to it in a while until very recently, which I'm glad I did because I feel the exact same about it now as I used to, that feeling being that this is some of the best music ever created. Gus and WHARFWHIT's ... read more
