Kero Kero Bonito deep dive 3/5
OH FUCK YEAH
TOTEP was the first thing I have ever heard from Kero Kero Bonito, and it immediately made me a fan. This album is a major departure from the sound of the 2 projects before it, leaning much more into a noise pop and indie pop sound, but holy shit, does it work exceptionally well both on here, and Time 'n' Place which came out not even a year later.
This is just some of the band's best music, and don't even get me started on Only ... read more
Kero Kero Bonito deep dive 2/5
You know it's gonna be a banger when one of the tags is "happy".
Bonito Generation is such an immediate departure from the sound on the trio's debut, Intro Bonito, which had a sort of bitpop, Japanese pop rap sound. Compared to that debut mixtape, this album is a lot closer to the group's more recent work, moving towards a more poppy sound, and it works really fucking well, every song on here is just such a bop from the first track to ... read more
Kero Kero Bonito deep dive 1/5
This production is schizophrenic.
Kero Kero Bonito is a band I've been a fan of for a while, but I've only really listened to Time 'n' Place and TOTEP, so I decided I would finally go through the rest of their music, and at least with this first mixtape, that was a damn good choice. This is a pretty different vibe from the group's later music, being more reminiscent of bitpop and Japanese pop rap than the noise pop stuff I'm used to ... read more
Giving all of the OST albums 99s because I'm hoping when the game is fully out he just releases a compilation that includes the OST to every chapter in one big package, I'll give that a 100, or I'll just give the final chapter's OST a 100 if that doesn't happen.
bleep bloop
Girl Next Door should've been longer
Better than the Undertale OST and it's not close I don't care fuckers
The JACKBOYS debut was like, fine.
It wasn't a good compilation, it didn't show off how well these artists usually work together, mostly just proving that as a collective none of these collabs can work repeatedly, they have to be infrequent features on the members' individual albums. However with that being said, some songs with that feature vibe do shine through on the first JACKBOYS compilation, it had some enjoyable moments, and I overall didn't hate that record.

guys oh my god, oh my god guys, death grips! it's death grips!!!!!!
dälek is probably one of the most important groups in hip hop history if you ask me.
Signing a group like dälek was a pretty weird choice for Ipecac when you first look at it, a label that basically only signed early experimental rock and sludge metal bands, bringing on a highly experimental hip hop band who's only album out at the time was surreal and extremely different from anything else in the hip hop ... read more
I really love this album... you know... you could call it a... masterpiece
This is just top tier indie rock from front to back, every song is so lively, the instrumentals are incredibly well done, Adrianne Lenker is a top tier writer and gorgeous singer. The whole album ranges from these emotional beautiful folk songs to these fun upbeat rock bangers, and no matter the feeling that are instilled in you from song to song, every song is just a vibe.
This is the best Big Thief album and ... read more

The Radiohead deep dive, and the several 10s along the way. Part 14/14
Everything I love about Kid A and Amnesiac but a little tiny bit less good.
The Radiohead deep dive, and the several 10s along the way. Part 13/14
At it's worst, it's still fucking incredible, at it's best, it's better than some songs on the original album.
The Radiohead deep dive, and the several 10s along the way. Part 12/14
A perfect goodbye.
Radiohead's final actual album, and it's a pretty great way to go out. A Moon Shaped Pool is nothing short of an absolute masterpiece. Radiohead's albums have always felt grand, but you can really tell here that this was intended to be their last hurrah. I don't have much to say about this album, I wish I did, but I don't, this album feels important, it is important, it's ... read more
The Radiohead deep dive, and the several 10s along the way. Part 11/14
A lot of people hate on The King of Limbs, and I sort of understand why. It's a pretty big departure from everything the band had been making up to this point, it's odd even for Radiohead standards, but I don't know, I like it.
The Radiohead deep dive, and the several 10s along the way. Part 10/14
How did the In Rainbows leftovers end up being so, so much less good? Like don't get me wrong, this kicks ass, but how does it kick so much less ass?
The Radiohead deep dive, and the several 10s along the way. Part 9/14
It's In Rainbows I don't need to explain why I'm giving it a 10
The Radiohead deep dive, and the several 10s along the way. Part 8/14
Hail to the Thief is the 2nd Radiohead album I had ever listened to, after OK Computer. Definitely a weird place to go next, a lot of people I feel like would either go back to Pablo Honey and The Bends, or continued on with the discography with Kid A and Amnesiac, or maybe jumped forward to In Rainbows as it's by far the band's most critically acclaimed record, but no, I went to Hail to the Thief. I still ... read more

3 songs from Kid A, 3 songs from Amnesiac, and a new song for the outro, which only ended up getting a studio version in the band's final album, A Moon Shaped Pool in 2016.
Yeah it's cool, sounds fucking awesome, and this version of True Love Waits is better than the version on A Moon Shaped Pool imo.
