Inoffensive. And thats why it doesnt work, loll. Feels like a pop metal album all the way thru, even if Sextape is excellent. Doesn't rlly work for me, but still solid. C
Elite is a gem. Otherwise consistent, but less texturally interesting than Around the Fur. Also some seriously overrated tracks on this one. It feels like (and is) Deftones shifting into a poppier sound, so it feels less personal than their prior album. Still good, A
Unfortunate that you can tell just how undercooked this album was. This would stand against the greats with a little more time in the oven. The standouts are obvious, but this album has some sleeper greats like Go to Sleep and A Punch Up at a Wedding. A Wolf at the Door is the pinnacle of radiohead for me, so it helps this album tremendously. With a rearranged tracklist and minor culling, this album turns into a wonderful experience. S-
The precedent set by Gorillaz' big singles really do not do their actual songs justice. This is a lot more EDM than ppl would lead you to believe. Still a very consistent outing, although it gets questionable direction-wise following the standout DARE. A-
EP or single, whatever you say it is, the title track is one of the best ever. It's pornographic in the best way possible, incredibly dynamic IDM (or braindance, whateva). The B-sides are also pretty great, this is just an excellent outing from Aphex Twin. A+
