out of all the critically acclaimed must hear albums, this is the one i dont get
society needs to stop hailing tim henson as the most innovative guitarist of our era. mkgee is making sounds with the guitar that builds an amazing atmosphere that is both vintage and modern at the same time, and its absolutely beautiful. that being said, his songwriting still has a long ways to go, but man are the singles on this album fire
might be one of the most profound love stories ive ever seen
Everything I have loved about Geese and Cameron Winter up to this point is not only combined into this album but is expanded upon. We are witnessing one of the greatest bands of this generation and I'm honored to even get to listen to it.
Not messing with this one as much. I like it but I just don't find it memorable enough. Hopefully that doesn't mean the album will disappoint me

Musically it's really great, but it lacks a lot of what made Godspeed's first two albums as special as they are; the field recordings, the ambient sounds, and the spoken-word breaks. With that missing, the album lacks a lot of context and exigence that their two previous works had. That's not to say that these pieces are not moving at all - they're extremely raw, angry, and beautiful at the same time. It's just the lack of the "why" that makes it fall short ... read more
cool to hear a lot of similarities with some stuff from hellfire, especially the more theatrical/jazzy stuff, but to a much bigger extent and emphasis
