This album picks up SO MUCH towards the end; not to say that the beginning isn't good, cause there are there are some really amazing songs at the start, especially Dramamine. But I really just feel the backhalf of this album is just so consistent with amazing quality. Isaac Brock's lyricism is fucking incredible here. The album is just such an awesome vibe and matches it's title completely.
most of the best songs on this album are taken from demos they wrote so long ago, so it kind of has me worried for when they'll have to write an entirely new album, i don't think they'll be able to recreate what they did with D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L
they might be one of the best bands of this decade... its insane how much this album has grown on me
This album is so messy and I love it. This was one of the most fun experiences I've ever had listening to an album. It's so chaotic and wild and like nothing I've heard before. The bars are so fucking hilarious and the beats are just fucking crazy. I've never been so appalled yet so excited by an album before. Only real complaint is that this album kinda gets boring towards the end.
This album is such a interesting experience and is so creative, but I can't say I prefer this over Bright Green Field
if i remember correctly my teacher told me this was their worst project... and honestly i disagree. yes, the production may be lacking, but personally, i prefer this as it does make them sound a bit more gritty and i prefer this kind of sound. this project is definitely way more consistent in my opinion. i feel like every single track packs a punch and even though they keep the sound similar throughout the tracklist it's different enough where it doesn't take away from the album. i think the ... read more
this is actually my teachers band and im seeing them live in a few days so i decided to give a listen to some of their albums... and i gotta say im pretty impressed. this isn't really my favorite kind of music but i appreciate the songwriting and music. this album can be really catchy at times and melodic which makes me really enjoy it compared to other songs ive heard from the genre(s). some of my favorite melodies and hooks envoke a lot of emotions and makes some tracks stick out much more ... read more
idk what people are on when they say the first half is better than the second half of the album, i actually feel like the second half is fucking great, even better than the first
I definitely have to revisit this a few times, but god this is really depressing. I really feel and relate to Phil Elverum
this album would probably be a 10/10 for me if i was stoned. wait...
Man I really underrated this album when I first listened to it a while ago. This is genuinely one of Pink Floyd's best and most ambitious works. The instrumentals especially on this album are produced well and are extremely layered. It keeps your attention the entire time even when being long tracks.
The story behind this album is really amazing, but sadly I don't think the music necessarily lives up to that hype. It's not bad at all, it just doesn't really stick out.
This is one of the best indie records I've heard. The arrangements, the songwriting, everything is just so good. I just feel that some of the mixing could be better on a few tracks. And don't get me wrong, In the Backseat is great, but I really feel that Rebellion (Lies) should have ended the album.
