The backstory behind this album is pretty cool. On Spotify the tracklist is different than it is on here, but Im gonna rate it based on what is on here. Spotify has the _R>O>T versions of the songs as well, and I think its pretty fun to listen to both versions.

Favourite songs: Title track, Laputa

Big Thief - Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You
96

This album tries out many genres, and every one of them sounds great.
Favourite songs: too many to list
Songs i’d recommend if you haven’t heard this album: Change, Red Moon, Simulation Swarm, No Reason

(Edit): The mixing on Blurred View is Immaculate

MIKE - MAY GOD BLESS YOUR HUSTLE
74

Has some extremely high highs, with decent production throughout. Also the ending of Greedy is too long.

Favourite songs: Hunger, Paul, Pigeonfeet, Greed/Greedy, Victory Lab

clipping. - There Existed an Addiction to Blood

Its just really good

春ねむり [HARU NEMURI] - 春と修羅 [Haru to shura]

Didn't enjoy the remixes at the end much, but the rest of the album is great, even songs I didn't love still add to the album. It flows pretty well from track to track
Favourite songs: MAKE MORE NOISE OF YOU, yoruwooyoideta, nineteen, yumewomiyou, rock 'n' roll...

Pink Siifu - ensley
70

Favourite songs: Pray Everyday, Stay Sane, Garden of Truth

This album has some great songs with amazing production, but a lot of the songs don't seem to go anywhere and at points it seems to drag on
Favourite songs: from paris, with love, can you really blame me for how I react, coping mechanism, silly, mallgrabber p

Black Dresses - Forget Your Own Face

(Edit): 76 -> 90
Honestly this just goes so hard. Production like this is hard to keep up with but the vocals are so sick
Lyrics are pretty depressing but I’m hearing what she’s saying and it’s making sense

Favourite songs: u_u2, doomspiral, MONEY MAKES YOU STUPID

The Koreatown Oddity - Little Dominiques Nosebleed
88

This album is wild, you never know what the next song is gonna sound like. The production is so creative throughout. It’s a very clever and funny album that also has some bangers

Favourite songs: Weed in LA, Looking Back from the Future, Little Dominique’s Nosebleed Part 1&2, The World’s Smallest Violin

Ka - Woeful Studies

There’s good production on here, and Ka’s wordplay and lyrics are good as well

Turnstile - GLOW ON

Might re-rate this at some point in the future.

Favourite songs: New Day New You, Morning Brew

Gonjasufi - A Sufi and a Killer
92

I feel like Sheep is this albums version of Walkin by Denzel Curry
(Edit): The percussion and bass on this album is so great. This is one of my favourite albums to listen to front to back. The atmosphere it is able to create is truly unique, and each song sounds so much better with that context

(Edit 2): 87 -> 92
Consistently one of my favourite albums to listen start to finish

Camera Obscura - Let's Get Out of This Country

Not a huge fan of If Looks Could Kill and Razzle Dazzle Rose

Choker - Honeybloom

Favourites: Rocket, Juno, Starfruit LA

DJ Sabrina the Teenage DJ - Charmed

(Edit): 76 -> 90
Might be 100 in the future. I love DJ STT DJ and I love Charmed. This album is long and it's tough to listen to it all, but if you do you won't regret it. It truly is bigger than the sum of its parts, there's just something about the great vibe of this album that is rare and that I cherish

(Original review):
I like the short tracks that exist to help the album flow from song to song. Overall good but very long album

Favourite songs: Next To Me, Charmed, Too ... read more

This album exudes an enchanting and ethereal quality, captivating the listener with its sheer beauty. However, it is worth noting that some of the songs tend to extend their duration more than necessary, potentially causing a slight detachment from the overall experience. While these tracks show promising potential to culminate in a powerful climax, they often fall short of delivering a truly satisfying payoff - Chatgpt rewrite of my review

"Good review Bread. I think it is ok to not have an introspective take on a piece of work like this, especially if it is still fresh. Bjork's writing can be pretty abstract - which adds to the magic, but also lends itself more to feeling the music as opposed to analysis"

"@dontneedauserna Lol to each his own I think the Injury Reserve album has lots of cool ideas that ive never heard other artists do, and because of that I find it not boring since it keeps my attention, I also just think it's enjoyable to listen to. This Vince album was pretty tame to me. I feel like ive heard Vince make similar songs before. I've also heard Vince make some really interesting songs, and I felt they were lacking on this album. But yes you're right, we are now square"

On gabs7's review of JPEGMAFIA - SIN MIEDO
"I understand this take, Im also not a huge fan of this single. but you gotta think back to the singles he's put out for albums in the past, which are typically his most straightforward tracks. Lean Beef Patty, Hazard Duty Pay, Trust, Jesus forgive me, etc. I think this is another case of a song like that, cuz I had the same thoughts for some of those songs, and then ended up liking them a lot more when the album came out"
