Really cool album idea and execution
Favourite songs: Long Way Away, True Believer, Baby Don't Sleep, A Better Place, Air 'Em Out
Some songs work but others I find boring. Might need to pay more attention to the lyrics
Favourite songs: Excuse, White Ceiling, Youth Rebellion, Chicken
Some great songs on here but as a 52 minute album it does drag on a bit.
Favourite songs: CD Player V, You Don't Care, Blast Jammer, You Are Burning Me Up Like This, Phantom You, In Four Parts
This band is very good at making music
Favourite songs: Sunglasses, Opus, Athens, France
Really great jazz rap album. Lyrically every song is great, and the rapping is almost always great as well. Don't really like the rapping of the feature on Old Dogs. Production is insane as well
Favourite songs: Years Gone By, F(r)iends, Home
Music to have nightmares to
(Edit): 76 -> 68. I think this album has really cools sounds, but not great songwriting. I enjoy it but I think it could've been a lot better
Favourite songs: Sick, Sort Of, Can't Go Wrong Without You, The Torso, Drink, Dress, and Ink
A very peaceful album
(Edit): 79 -> 90
This is something special. The lyrics really hit
Favourite songs: Everyday, Our Way to Fall, You Can Have It All, Tears Are in Your Eyes
I listened to this a lot when it first came out, and I’ve just been listening to other stuff of a while but listening to this again is great, so many cool songs in 36 minutes
(Edit): 86 -> 92
Almost 2 years later still loving this album
Album flows really well, fun listen with some great production throughout. JPEG and Slowthai have great verses.
Favourite songs: Ecdysis, High Beams, Jewel, How to Build a Relationship, Voices, 71m3
There's some moments where the music just sounds so ethereal and beautiful but dark, but then there will be long stretches throughout the album that sound repetitive or just not good. I think I understand the appeal of this album, but it is not for me
(Edit): 40 -> 60
still not my favourite listen, but I’ve returned to this so many times at this point I can’t justify a rating below 50. I wouldn’t even say it’s grown on me that much, I just find don’t find it ... read more
Summer vibes, decent rapping over jazzy beats
Favourite songs: Summerhouse, B.Q.E, Away Park,
The first death’s dynamic shroud album I ever heard. Blew my mind on first listen. Some parts of the album are a bit too overly repetitive, and I think the ending of Last Minutes of the Memory could’ve been better.
(Edit): 86 -> 90
Deserves a 9/10, one of my favourite albums
Favourite songs: Just to be Needed, Faith in Persona, Tear in Abyss
Reviewing this as the Spotify version bc that’s the one I’ve listened to the most, but would be very similar to the real tracklist. Rapping on this album is great. Every feature is great. Production works for what it is going for, but I find the instrumental melodies to be very weak and repetitive throughout most of the album. Basically every track is a banger, great album
Cool album, not much that stood out to me on this one but I will probably check out some of her other albums
Favourite songs: Wasting Your Time, Smog
(Edit): 78 -> 84
Since Heavy Metal came out, and the recent Geese singles, I've been tapping back into this. Lots of songs have grown on me since then. Just banger after banger on 3D Country, and I'm loving all of them. Gonna go back to Projector too and see what's up there.
Favourite songs: I See Myself, Cowboy Nudes, 3D Country, Gravity Blues, St. Elmo
