Isabel's Dream - Monomara
80

Reminds me of so many artists I like. A little bit simplistic at points, but this is always gonna be enjoyable for me

My Wife's An Angel - Keep Honking I'm About To Fucking Kill Myself
77

Can’t rly explain this you just gotta hear it. Deranged, upset, entertaining

Fav songs: Doom Scroll, American Dream, Imagine a River/PAUSE!, Bowser’s

DJ Sabrina the Teenage DJ - Fantasy
80

DJ Sabrina never ceases to entertain me

Assembly - Party Trick
84

Aggressive, rhythmic, melodic. Spotlights is one if my fav songs of the year

lil hero - pawwwfect!
68

Dancy, sparkly, soft

Fav songs: gun show, easy going down

Charlie Johnston - The Firetruck Is Running Late
83

This is so good! Soft indie a little rough around the edges. What Soccer Mommy + Microphones would sound like together
Cozy vibes

Fav songs: Silo, Parachute, My Life Before Electricity, Ear to the Shell, Your Tree

Miya Lowe - Restarter
73

So solid, no bad songs. Bump n grind is a banger

André 3000 - New Blue Sun
75

I find it very easy to fall to sleep to this album, but it's a great listen when I do make it all the way through

The Avalanches - Since I Left You
86

This sound is timeless

Injury Reserve - Drive It Like It's Stolen
68

Fav songs: North Pole, Boom (X3), Colors

Injury Reserve - Injury Reserve
84

This album is just super fun and full to the brim with personality and charm. Man... I still wish they put HPNGC on this instead of GTFU, but that's alright

Fav songs: Three Man Weave, New Hawaii, GTFU, Rap Song Tutorial, What a Year It's Been, Jailbreak the Tesla, Jawbreaker

By Storm - My Ghosts Go Ghost
88

They reinvented music again. This feels like the Injury Reserve version of Kanye's Ye: Introspective, unsusceptible, hypnotic, and unique

Fav songs: Zig Zag, And I Dance, Double Trio 2, Can I Have You For Myself?

The Beths - Future Me Hates Me
71

Solid songs, not quite my style but I appreciate what it is

Fav songs: Future Me Hates Me, Little Death, River Run: Lvl 1

THEFOODLORD - DRAYMOND BROWN
77

Coool rap album. First thing I thought listening to this is thefoodlord's voice sounds like westside gunn. Beats are fire, rapping is dope, the adlibs are funny and a bit intense (You know what im saying bitch!)

Bring back evil music baby :)

Fav songs: AT THE FAMILY OFFICE, ORIGINAL FAKE, MONTHS BEHIND CROSSED THE POND

Pezzhead - Trendzz
65

If you're looking for some noisy 808s, yelling, aggressive uk rap, maybe check this out. Reminiscent of clipping., ho99o9, or maybe even X?
Lots of distortion. I've definitely heard better, but this isn't bad at all

Fav songs: Fairy Talezz, it hurtzz

Cities Aviv - GUM
87

So good. Really loving this vibe, it's less energetic than his other stuff I've heard.
As a relatively unexperienced Cities Aviv listener, this has recontextualized everything I thought I understood about his music. I now have a strong desire to discover or rediscover his other projects.

Fav songs: Call Tower, Standing by the 260, Over, Power Approaches

the sidepeices - darklight
83

These guys still don't like FL studio 😂 So freaking good, idk if I'd even call this hip hop. It's more sound collage than anything imo, reminds me of Slauson Malone at points. Yeah I think this has less funny moments than darkskin, but I do find it to be a very cool and interesting listen

Mk.gee - Two Star & The Dream Police
73

Some great songs, some good songs, some alright songs. Overall, a vibe

waterproof goldstar - canyon flourish town
90

Amazing noisy shoegaze album. Vocals are drowned out for most of the record by some amazing sounding guitars and effects, but remind me of Lil Ugly Mane (Or even Sematary?) But it doesn't really invoke LUM's recent shoegazey endeavours.
This album is extremely inspired, there was a vision here that was achieved

Fav songs: watermelon day is over , charSLAY and aviSLAY go to SLAYworld, bags of warm air

2slimey - High Anxiety
70

Deep-fried Die Lit

Fav songs: Meat, Roc, Bring emOut, Pop alot

"Good review Bread. I think it is ok to not have an introspective take on a piece of work like this, especially if it is still fresh. Bjork's writing can be pretty abstract - which adds to the magic, but also lends itself more to feeling the music as opposed to analysis"

"@dontneedauserna Lol to each his own I think the Injury Reserve album has lots of cool ideas that ive never heard other artists do, and because of that I find it not boring since it keeps my attention, I also just think it's enjoyable to listen to. This Vince album was pretty tame to me. I feel like ive heard Vince make similar songs before. I've also heard Vince make some really interesting songs, and I felt they were lacking on this album. But yes you're right, we are now square"

On gabs7's review of JPEGMAFIA - SIN MIEDO
"I understand this take, Im also not a huge fan of this single. but you gotta think back to the singles he's put out for albums in the past, which are typically his most straightforward tracks. Lean Beef Patty, Hazard Duty Pay, Trust, Jesus forgive me, etc. I think this is another case of a song like that, cuz I had the same thoughts for some of those songs, and then ended up liking them a lot more when the album came out"
