Listened to this a bit when it first came out. It is a very consistent listen, but not anything special for me
Normally I would give an album at least a few listens before rating, but Idk if I want to listen to this album again so im rating after first listen.
Lyrically this album is all over the place, in a bad way
I found most of the production to be boring, although there were some interesting sounds, each track's progress seemed to be halted by the first minute and nothing interesting would happen afterwards to keep me listening
Kanye's singing and rapping was not good
This album is one I would recommend to anyone, even if I wouldn’t expect them to enjoy it. The dark ambience built within each song, and carrying through the entire album, is truly something to marvel at.
I loved Go Dig My Grave, which really shows you what the rest of the album will be. Storytelling, drone sounds, noise, and a lingering darkness throughout.
I loved the transition into Clear Away in the Morning, which is another great song

A lot of the production on this album felt boring to me. It was pretty, but felt almost artificial, and some lines I found a bit cringey, both writing and delivery
Fav songs: shit talk, my red little fox, so you are tired
Going back through a bunch of albums that came out this year that I didn't rate yet. This one was the first one and I honestly don't know why I haven't listened to it more this year. Billy Woods and Elucid put together one of the best abstract hip hop albums I heard this year. Also, I saw Billy Woods earlier this year and he performed Blocked Call before it came out.
Some standout songs are: Trauma Mic, When it Doesn't Start With A Kiss, I Keep A Mirror In My Pocket.
This is so good to listen to after Dummy. I haven’t heard the album Portishead yet but I’m excited to after this. I just listened to this first bc I heard deep water and machine gun randomly, I’ve been listening to a lot of these songs for over a year now.
Once I heard The King of Carrot Flowers, Pt 3 I knew I was gonna love this album

It took a while for her voice to click with me but yeah this is an amazing album
I just want to reiterate, bright future is a great album; this is different
