You're completely wrong Brad, this album is great. Pet Sounds is one of the most revered albums of all time. On a first listen that reputation may seem a little ridiculous. I initially didn't really enjoy this album on a first listen. Wouldn't It Be Nice and God Only Knows are incredible songs of course, but nothing else really stuck out to me. But this album is as much revered for its music as it is for its influence.

I was looking through George Harrison’s discography, saw the genre tags, and knew I had to check it out. There’s only 2 fairly long tracks on here, both having pretty cool titles. Most of the tracks are just incoherent bleeps and bloops. I will say that Under The Mersey Wall has a bit more structure than No Time Or Space, but not be much. It’s more just George playing around with his moog synth than anything. Not much more than a fun experiment. I don’t think George was ... read more
I used to listen to a lot of NOFX when I was really into punk music. For a while after that I was embarrassed every time one of their songs came up in my playlist. And while yes, some of their stuff is corny as hell, The Decline is actually great. It’s also ... read more
It’s really commendable how David Bowie was willing to try out new music genres this far into his music career. This album is pretty good for what it is. The NIN influence is heavy throughout the album but especially noticeable on tracks like Seven Years in Tibet and I’m Afraid of Americans, which are great industrial rock bangers. A lot of the other music in here I would describe as going hard in the club, which is something I didn’t think I would ever say about a David Bowie ... read more
This was the first of The Beatles early records that I've listened to in full, and It's quite fun especially the first half. There are some great classics on here like Eight Days a Week and No Reply, but everything after Eight Days a Week just feels bland and very generic. Still enjoyable though I had a great time listening to this record but half the tracklist is just forgettable. The best thing this album has going for it is the performances. Even if the songs are somewhat ... read more
