It feels like listening to an obscure radio in the middle of the most remote place like in the middle of africa.
Incredible production with an otherworldly sample selection.
The more i listen to Cities Aviv the more he becomes on of my favorite producers/rappers. The sound of his is soo unique and tastefull.
It's not you're average album with the songs being straight to the point, they linger to get to it, create zero expectations and deliver almost nothing, but still feel complete ... read more

sure.. another country digestible country album, with harmonicas and all. Weepy yey
I feel that if this had Neil young or bob dylan name on the cover i'd give it at least more 10 points, just cause i'm influenceable like that

Hypnotizing guitars and his voice is just out of this world. This isn't their best album, but it's really good nevertheless.
What a run of albums this was, Velvet underground then buena vista club, bob marley and now this.
Don't have much more to say, other than this is creative for when it came out and clean production.
Intro kinda sounds messy, too much at the same time. But the Jazz Rap sound is always welcomed.
The beats are fire. The rapping not quite reaching the production.
it would be even great if the musics transitioned into each other, opposing to just cutting

Context matters. A lot. And this album put in context, it's one of the most creative, even though Pet sounds we're already there, or Revolver. It's part of that revolution, for a weirder sound.
For the ears of today, I don't think this stands with the aforementioned albums. (Not comparable at all)
Midway through I started to get it and be in the vibe. This is so dreamy and trip inducing, the repetitions and ... read more

yes nostalgia because my dad used to play this a lot, and pretty good instrumentations and singing from well known Ibrahim Ferrer
The recording and mixing in this is so satisfying
This shows how music is so different form place to place in the world, it's not just america that makes art or entertainment.

I love the Low rider song of them, but that's what I know from them
Listening to it, The world is a guetto track I already liked very much. A 10 minute track that repeats itself but never gets tiresome or samey, and it pretty much sums up what this album can do for 44 minutes with just 6 songs. A chill jam that has it's moments of catharsis and comes back smoothly to a laid back session with the boys.

Loud. Abrasive.
If you like Blackgaze which is kind of an ambient metal or shoegazy screamo, definitely check this out.
Wow, this makes me go to another place in time and space or to nowhere, the cover is amazingly beautifull and it reminds me of the sound from Deafheaven Sunbather's album which is a really good compliment.
Screams that become buried on the layers of ecoed out guitars.
Thanks for the recomendation @Lucidplor
Wish this was more consistent throughout, but this is really good
Love 'idiot', 'Spiders' and 'Everything in My life is perfect'.

gimme hardcore punk me like SCREAMINNN
This band was a staple on Hardcore punk making one of the most important albums to the genre beginnings.
It's frantic, high paced, seems dumb but has meaning, like on Six Pack, appears to be just screaming six pack cause it's funny, the meaning being a person who isolated himself becoming drink addict and believing that a six pack will just save him, even the six pack has more value than his ... read more
those vocals on the end of the pit and the muffled production is what weighs this down, but the rawness unpredictability of it all is great.

yeah.. this isn't worth it. The mix is not good. I like the noisy parts, but it's all so muffled it's almost shoegaze without wanting to be.
Good riffs, mid vocal performance.
This feels Jack White vibes all over. Never listened to a full album of White stripes but i feel it'll be better than this. Even though i like the sound of the guitars and the guitar playing too. It's raw, loose, whiny.
Reminds me a lot of Jungle's musics like Back on 74 with those choruses.
Disco bangers, my party playlists we're blessed with this one

AMAZING
The band that made me be a music nerd. yeah almost everyone has this past. We're all living our lives and as a collective mind we go through so many of the same experiences without recognizing. The thing that changes them is how we react. Radiohead album, of course it put me in a philosophical state.

Quirky Elton John. Really nice!
I heard Gotta Get Up on a random Netflix show called Russian Doll with the concept of dying and returning to a point in time over and over, and this song appeared every time the character died. That summer I was hooked on it

Wasn't giving this much praise cause im not from the 80s so i dont have an immense love for R.E.M. and never quite heard them, unless it's the Losing my religion and that is a great song.
I'll have the same discourse that I did for Bruce Springsteen's Darkness on the Edge of Town. This is quite the surprise firstly for being their debut, and secondly for thinking this would be another rock album from the 80s with a ... read more

Love the cure, but besides of Songs of a lost world, Disintegration and some hits they have (well that's quite a start actually), i never listened to another album of them much. I guess the Songs of lost world is more of an experimentation and more spacious than what this will be.
