Is Joji speedrunning the album or something? I love this song's sound but it's dreadfully short.
This song has some absolutely gorgeous instrumentals and an equal amount of wonderfully soothing vocals. It's just so dreamy and I adore it for that.
Three years after debuting the alternative stage name, Montell Fish has FINALLY released an album under dj gummy bear. Honestly, his work under the alias has been a little inconsistent, but thankfully The Spirit Still Remains (Purgatory) is a pretty good listen all the way through. It's rawness and dedication to it's grainy house sound is almost always a treat to the ears, especially since the sound is executed upon pretty well. While there are more than a few duds, especially in the ... read more
I don't know why Montell can't release a consistent double single under the dj gummy bear moniker to save his life.
These are probably his most forgettable songs to date, but they aren't BAD by any stretch of the imagination.
This just sounds like an outtake from JAMIE, and a pretty middling one at that.
This is seriously one of the best songs Montell's ever done under the dj gummy bear moniker.
Days Are Getting Shorter is pretty great, and the other two songs are certainly there.
prada is pretty bad, but everything about like an addict is awesome.
This is probably the weakest out of the three double singles, but that's not saying much considering how incredible they've all been.

There's just nothing compelling or interesting about it. There's almost nothing to say about the production, lyricism, or vocals. It's a fairly weak mixtape all around, and apart from high tides, nothing sticks out as anything less than low quality and low effort. I love Saba, and I ... read more
While the last single was influenced by the sounds of the Midwest, Blue Scissors is much more closer to the sounds of the late 90s/ early 00s rock scene in New York City. It’s an extremely solid follow-up.
Me and all my homies hate people who use their religion to justify their bigotry.
Mother is cool and on theme, but in terms of sound it's the weakest of the CHROMKOPIA crop.
Black Messiah is the third and unfortunately the final chapter in D'Angelo's discography, and what an incredible chapter it is. This album is just filled to the brim with lush instrumentals and soulful vocal runs that will bring the roof down. It's a project that'll heal both the heart and mind with it's tracks containing commentary on race relations and social issues in general working in near perfect tandem with it's more sultry and romantic cuts. D'Angelo ... read more
