- Diamond Eyes -
Chunky, blocky guitars complement fantastic ballad delivery and Deftones' typical lyrics. The production on these guitars leaves a bit to be desired though, with their sound being a bit too chunky and at times detracting from the instrumental instead of adding to it. It feels like Deftones couldn't choose whether to write a hard hitting rock banger or one of their transcendental ballads, and instead wound up uncanny ... read more
I have always possessed the insatiable need to see what happens inside the room.
- Perverts -
The opening and title track of Perverts is very reminiscent of Everywhere at the End of Time by the Caretaker, particularly stage 1-2 in the opening and very much stage 6 after that opening, especially towards the track's conclusion. This track features these long, crushing drones that sound almost like a hollow ring, punctuated by what to my ears sounds like distorted wind noises throughout. ... read more
This is one of the most brutal and intense albums I've ever heard.

- Consumed -
This album opens with low bass noises that quickly gives way to a macabre whir in the low end. What it lacks in length and complexity it makes up for in sheer power and tone.
- Excavation (Part 1) -
Part 1 of Excavation opens with a bell and ... read more
Oil of Every Pearl's Un-Insides is one of the most adventurous, experimental, groundbreaking pop albums ever made. The DNA of this album is so unbelievably SOPHIE that absolute l' nobody else could have possibly made it. It's Okay to Cry is one of the most painfully beautiful songs I've ever heard and makes me cry almost every single time I hear it. Ponyboy and Faceshopping are experiments into how noisy and esoteric you can make production that's incorporated into a ... read more
