This is the musical equivalent of a Bethesda game. Florence + The Machine kills it on "Florida". The Rest of the album is the same sound pallete we've had for years. Like a Bethesda game, it doesn't make sense to hate. Why waste your energy raging against a Fallout 76? Then again, why waste your time playing a Fallout 76? Now I wanna listen to a Florence album
Ocular Spectacular by MGMT tackles the feelings and moments that come while becoming an adult. To me, it embodies the feelings of moving into a massive modern world, growing in that world, and watching it move faster than you could ever keep up. All this is surrounded by beautiful psychedelic and electronic soundscapes.
I will admit that not every song is a hit. There are three big hits: ‘Time to Pretend’, ‘Electric Feel’, and ‘Kids’. ‘Pieces of ... read more
It's a shame that everyone here knows what they're doing accept the lead singer. The Bass, Guitar, and Drums all sound incredible at times. But Radke.... he sounds like a zombie and writes like he's been 14 for the past 15 years
1/3 of this album is one song and that song is devastating.
Several of the songs on here are great on their own, but sitting through the whole album can become a dull, repetitive slog. I can see why people love this, though.
nope. The whistle. The AI album cover. The out-of-place sample. The annoying chorus. everything about this is awful.
Treating this album as a proper release, It's not good. Treating it as a proof of concept for the band, this shows promise. Most of these songs were later rerecorded for their next album, Vessel.
Thought this would be an improvement over Crybaby. Was wrong. The writing and production got much worse. 'The Principal' is just facebook posts about the establishment but 💅. Whole thing screams "why is everyone stupid but me?" and "I'm not like other girls" vibes. I am not joking when I say that the music a Ritz ad had more engaging music than this.
Ben Shapiro has said that rap music lacks harmony and melody. Turns out, that's just him.
Reddit Edgelord music but for Tumblr. The writing is pretty bad or mediocre. The infantilization doesn't work, especially when the album tries to tackle romance or sex. The production tries so hard to be not like the other girls that it forgets to be good.
“Doesn’t the world suck; Don’t parents suck?” Melanie says to her marketing agent.
Mercifully short, since the second half takes a slight nosedive in quality. Overall just a fun project.
Listening to a Juice Wrld song about drugs, released after his death, feels very eerie. Eminem's verse is a lot better than I expected. Overall, the song is alright
I really like this one. Every beat is amazing and the vibe is beautiful.
