Reminds me a lot of Linkin Park, or at least my layman ass's idea of Linkin Park based off their 2 biggest albums. I'm personally not a fan of the expensive production and surprisingly poppy (!) arrangements on here, but Poppy definitely knows how to bring her voice to the front of her songs when she wants to. A truly epic album indeed. Despite its ambitious runtime and long songs often passing the 10 minute mark, it rarely feels like anything ever overstays its welcome. You're just grooving for 3 whole hours with a big smile on your face, and by the time it's over you wish there was more - maybe more impactful moments, more mellow reflection, or just more in general. A great pick for those seeking a beast of an album to sit through.
One of those weird cases for me where although every song is definitely good and has clever musicianship, I just can't find myself latching onto it. I still like it, I still saved several songs to my playlist, but I just don't feel like I'm emotionally invested too much. Don't really know what else to say.
