One of the most sonicly considerate albums, Leonard Cohen's debut is almost perfect in every way.
Goes off track quite quickly, and gets boring quite quickly as well. But a good try I guess.
"We are the Clash", are you sure? Or were they kidnapped and replaced by badly made robots? But if I had to be fair, this isn't entirely Joe Strummer's fault, some of these songs (as they were written) were probably not bad, but whatever potential this album had was flushed away by the production. The production is like posery abstract art, it's like something you would have made on Garage band in music class when you were 12. There is too much going on, you cannot hear ... read more
I believe when I reviewed Sabrina Carpenter's Short n' Sweet I hoped to see how her 'artistry' would develop over her next releases. Of course she is young and has time to develop, but on this record I did not see this. I am not saying that her artistic direction is necessarily worse, all I am saying it is not different, she has not evolved. I noticed that recognisable names such as Jack Antonoff and John Ryan wrote and produced much of the tracks on the album. I would ... read more
First of all, an obvious problem with this album is that it is too long. Sadly, despite some obvious gems, the filler tracks are more noticeable and some are genuinely unlistenable. Despite this, songs such as Love, Lust for Life, Beautiful People (ft. S. Nicks), are genuinely brilliant, with Get Free (despite the lawsuit) also making an impact. Specifically Del Rey's lyrics on these songs are brilliant, and the production is at its peak on these tracks as well. I would say that the ... read more

Charli XCX's new soundtrack to Wutheing Heights (2026) is a foil to its cinematic companion in many a way. First and formost the quality of the work is much better than that of the film. The heavy synthesised production is brilliant sounding, the severe use of strings etc are fundimental the emtotional depth of the record. Additionally, the songwriting is generly good, with lyrics that relate to both the film and XCX's own interpretation. But lyrics can come across as superficial ... read more
Lily Allens's latest album sits in between typical Allen charm and nothing that we have seen from her before. This album is innovative, real, thoughtful and scandalous, it reminds how uncomfortable life can be, but also what brilliant music it can become. An ear-warming alt-pop album, Allen and her team seem eager to succeed in all points of album making, from writing to production, from production to pacing. Generally the melodic efforts are good, but are sometimes drowned by repetitive ... read more
One of the best albums of all time. Few words can describe the emotions, atmosphere, imagery and inspirations that bred on this album as I listen to it. The level of emotional intimacy this work of art provokes is beyond the typical reckoning. From the lyrics to the classic post-punk/gothic production, every track is immaculate and perfect. The best tracks are Shadowplay, She's Lost Control, Insight and of course the classic Disorder. Thematically the album itself creates a musical story ... read more
A generally decent album containing satisfactory and cute '80s styled hits. This album is a good comeback from her last release, which did not satisfy audiences to say the least. Despite this, the rapper-singer should not take the style and quality of this album as her new status quo, as this album should be a gateway to a new and respectable era, but is not original or unique enough to stand up on its own. For example, the production by Jack Antinof is something that should be upgraded or ... read more

It was honestly a fan biy moment of excitmeant when I weant to revew this album, an opening like Babooshka has enouph legend and celebrity for britsh music lovers and Kate Bush fans. In Never For Ever, kate Bush pushes her storytelling to another level, delving into darker themes with more confidence and charisma. Songs such as Army Dreamers, The Wedding List, Breathing and Babooshka are not just arty tracks on some arty album, they are stories, narratives from real lives, real tragedies. Kate ... read more
A fun and flirtatious pop album, another addition to the pop girls such as Cheppell Roan who are reinventing pop for the better. In the future it would be great to see Carpenter take more creative risks, as some may say that Short n' Sweet is a bit tame. Overall a fun album with cheeky lyrics, catchy hooks and eargasmic production.
