It’s still the same old female singer-songwriter formula, but at least most of the tracks are genuinely lush and free of gritty roughness.

This is actually his best since Donda, even without counting any further necessary updates. Donda 2, Vultures 1 & 2, Never Stop... so there's really no suspense at all.
The mixing is still a big issue, and it's still full of obvious AI vocal. Still half-baked, as it was. The current version is more polished than the Music Video version released last year, but still not worth the nearly year-long wait.

After his disastrous predecessor, I went into this album with the lowest expectations possible. And to be fair, this might be his best album since 哎呦,不错哦, if you treat 圣诞星 as a bonus track. Woah. This is actually his best and most cohesive album. Instead of pursuing fancy conceptual packaging, it delivers a complete work of restrained production but well‑paced emotion.
The music isn’t all that diverse, but has never felt so consistent — except for 半兽人 and 龙拳.
忍者 is actually really good, but the rest is meh. 双截棍 is the worst nu-metal stuff I've heard in a while.
