Jeff Buckley - Grace

Just too good.

Freddie Gibbs - Alfredo 2
96

On first listen it sounds incredible. Honestly think this might be better than the first one. Al performing at the top of his game and Freddie completely floating on top of it. Gibbs' flow is truly mastered.

Clipse - Let God Sort Em Out
93

Incredible comeback from Clipse. The duo work perfectly with Pharrell which makes for a truly special album. The emotional depth of the introtrack is an incredible intro to the album.

Phoebe Bridgers - That Funny Feeling

My comfort song. Perhaps that's strange...

The Cure - Songs of a Lost World
97

This album is my introduction to The Cure. While I have been meaning to sit down and listen to their music for quite some time, I just never got around to it. However with this new release I finally did it. And holy fucking shit this is incredible. It makes me regret not indulging in their catalogue earlier. Listened to this while on an evening walk. That was a fantastic decision as the dark sky and nature just fueled and amplified the feeling and atmosphere of the record. I didn't quite ... read more

Juice WRLD - Fighting Demons

At this point, just stop. While Legends Never Die was great, now it just feels like we're digging in the vault. With the sound of this album, I think its safe to assume there was a reason Juice didn't release a lot of these tracks. At this point, when we are just digging deeper and deeper in his vault, the entire record just feels like a massive cash grab. I really really hope this is the final album that is released into Juice's catalogue.

Juice WRLD - Legends Never Die

Probably my favourite Juice WRLD record. I think it is beautifully put together considering its a posthumous record.

Joey Bada$$ - 2000
84

Another great record from Joey. Although, unfortunately he included "Welcome Back". Apart from that track, 2000 has really grown on me with time. At first I was kind of disappointed as I felt it wasn't nearly as good as his previous work. But on multiple relistenes and just living with the album it has certainly grown on me quite a lot.

Joey Bada$$ - ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$
90

Extremely versatile with great lyrical depth. Once again, Joey shows why he is one of the best rappers in the game currently.

Joey Bada$$ - B4.DA.$$
95

Definitely Joey's most underrated album. Might actually be his best record. Wonderful production and fantastic delivery. I think Joey shows a bit more versatility on here than he did on 1999. "B4.DA.$$" just feels more like a complete body of work to me. While I love 1999, this just feels more complete.

Joey Bada$$ - 1999

17????? That's crazy...

Post Malone - Hollywood's Bleeding
85

Definitely my favourite record from Posty.

Polo G - HOOD POET
50

Was hoping for an improvement since the last record. Didn't get it.

Polo G - Hall of Fame
60

Man... After the potential and promise Polo showed on "THE GOAT" I was expecting a bit more from this record. However it seems like he focused on showing his versatility rather than showing his talent. Rather than excelling in one field, he comes out mediocre in multiple. And somehow, production is still an issue. While not as large of an issue as on the previous record, it's still noticable. The majority of the feature also strike me as being included because of name value ... read more

Polo G - THE GOAT

Man it is unfortunate that the production is so hit or miss on this album. Polo is in top form with his vulnerable, hard hitting writing, great delivery and flow. However, the production is all over the place. While the simple, samey beats don't bother me too much as it puts the focus on Polo and the lyrical content, the consistency on the mixing is horrendous. Polo's voice sounds completely different on different tracks and the entire sonic landscape just completely changes between ... read more

Pusha T - DAYTONA
91

Short and sweet. Wonderful production from Kanye, but I don't care too much for his feature. Actually I think the entire song with Kanye is quite lackluster in comparison to the rest of the record. But productionwise Kanye creates the kind of ominous tone that Pusha flourishes in.

Freddie Gibbs - $oul $old $eparately
88

While not quite as strong as Alfredo or Piñata, $$$ is still a really great album. After entire records entirely produced by Madlib and Al, I actually appreciate the diversity in producers on this one. It feels a bit fresh somehow. Freddie is once again in top form.

Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist - Alfredo
90

Both Al and Freddie in top form on this project. One of Freddie's strongest projects for sure. Some really strong features as well that really add to their respective songs. I also have to mention the absolutely incredible guitar-led instrumental in "1985", Al really outdid himself with that one.

Freddie Gibbs & Madlib - Piñata
100

What a performance from the both of them. Freddie and Madlib work wonderfully as a duo.
