This is lowkey better than the original songs. The live instrumentation sounds absolutely incredible and Raye is one hell of a performer. Well, now I'm gonna have to go see her live at some point.
ROCKY AND COLE? Been dreaming of this collab for a LONG time. And over an Alchemist beat? Could not be happier. This album is going to be sensational.
A very solid record with some great moments and some lesser moments. Certain tracks show quite obvious influences, but its not to an annoying extent. Overall the production is very good and Sabrina's performances are great. Actually quite enjoy the writing on this record as well. Although there are a few tracks that feel a bit lacklustre, the overall album is still quite strong.
Romance sounds fantastic. Wonderful instrumentation and strong vocal performances. Great album front to back and just a massive vibe. Judging by the singles, this album is just going to keep growing on me as well. Wonderful.
One of Nas' best albums. Hitboy does a tremendous job on production and Nas is in top form. Also some absolutely phenomenal songs in here like "Beef", with incredible lyrical ability on display. 30 years after his debut, Nas is still operating at the top level of the game.
Oh boy, Sir Robert sure loves his skits.
The highly anticipated Ultra 85 does actually not disappoint. The production on this album is phenomenal. 6ix and Bobby sure delivered on the production, and Bobby had very solid rapping performances. "Paul Rodriguez" is imo one of Logic's best songs ever. The production is absolutely phenomenal and Logic raps his ass off. Wonderful jazzy vibe and just a perfect track overall. The main problem with this album is the length. Its a bit ... read more
While CRASH is more of a conventional pop record than some of Charli's last few albums, its still great. Charli basically executes conventional pop in a damn near perfect way. Nothing experimentally outstanding, just overall really great pop. Some fantastic features as well, love the appearances of Caroline, Christine and Rina. Fantastic pop record.
JAY-Z comes through with the most emotionally vulnerable record of his career. Amazing lyricism on display on top of incredible production from No I.D.. I must give huge props to No I.D. as he makes extraordinary beats for JAY-Z to open up on. A wonderful duo that make for some of the best music of JAY-Z's career. I reckon this album is his second best.
JAY-Z's best album. Amazing performances over iconic beats with fantastic features. Definitely his best record.
Abel's sound evolves massively with this album. Going into a more 80's synthpop style he executes it wonderfully. In my opinion his best project to date. Phenomenal production with amazing synthwork and fantastic vocals from Abel. The only complaint I have would be that I find the vocalmixing on "Too Late" to be a bit weird. But another part of me feels like that fits the song quite well. So overall this is just an amazing record front to back with some of Abel's best ... read more
Oh boy. Here we go again. The second installment in the Vultures trilogy is actually not as bad as the first one, however that doesn't say much. Vultures 2 is still a complete mess filled with lackluster production and bad writing. Certain tracks have absolutely horrible vocal mixing which makes them damn near unlistenable. Kanye also brings in long anticipated songs like Sky City which has been a promising leak for years. Although he completely butchers it and ruins the song completely. I ... read more
One of the best Ariana Grande albums imo. Really solid production with strong performances by Ariana. Overall its just a really good pop record.
Such a fun record. Incredibly goofy and incredibly entertaining. They clearly don't take themself too serious and it works out great. Love the instrumentation and productionstyle combined with the oldstyle delivery. Entertaining masterclass.
FANTASTIC. Wonderful production, incredible instrumentation and very strong performances from JPEG. It all comes together as a consistent, cohesive and all-around fantastic record.
Meanwhile this record is still great, the more mainstream approach is to its detriment. ASTROWORLD does not offer an experience as powerful nor impactful as Rodeo. There are still some fantastic moments on this record and overall I think its quite great, but it still leaves a bit to be desired.
Rodeo is a surreal experience. Its the peak of trap music. Although I must say there are moments on this record where the lyrics are far from impressive. However the immense production and fantastic vocal performances by Travis and most of the features mostly make up for those dips in lyrical quality.
