Such a fantastic and timeless album with top tier production. Every track has its own unique sound which compliments the whole point of the album. It's catchy, funky and to think that this was the duos conclusion to their music career makes it even better. Instant Crush is easily my favorite with Julian's beautiful vocals and clean production. I'd also like to compliment Pharrell Williams on Get Lucky with the energy he brings to a song I genuinely couldn't stand back then. ... read more
I never knew Cudi had the dawg in him because I'm actually quite impressed. The more you listen to this album thoroughly, the more you'll understand how deep the lyrics are. Its such a psychedelic listening experience and although its less than half an hour, it still provides a lot to the table.
Haven't had the time to write a proper review on this album but now that I've did, lemme break it down for ya.
Parachutes is an album that really holds a special place in my heart ever since I feel in love with music. Yellow was one of the earlier Coldplay songs I've heard and its such a nostalgic punch to the face anytime I listen to it. Not just that, the whole album just gives you a complete feel of nostalgia with how every song represents itself. I'd say that this ... read more
Definitely Maybe a banger. A really strong debut album from Oasis with some memorable highs. Morning Glory really got me into Oasis but I've never been such a crazy die fan for them. Don't Look Back In Anger is still my favorite Oasis song till this day and nothing can change that. So when I got around to finally listen to this album, I'm genuinely quite surprised and I really loved this album. Yes, it does feel quite repetitive but I'd say that's what makes Oasis ... read more
Really beautiful psychedelic pop with no skips to be honest. Every track is good in its own way while keeping you hooked with those nice synths. Not to mention, when I heard the intro to Chamber of Reflection, I was genuinely surprised cause I never knew that song was on this album.
Upon first listen, the whole album genuinely blew me away and upon re-listen, it really hits different knowing the story behind it. Every song is crafted and produced amazingly with every layer of sound complimenting each other really well. I could go on and on but I think the final moments of this album are what struck the chord in me. Beyond Me is a beautiful song about loss and grief with its emotional and powerful lyrics. The Teacher is easily Foo Fighter's best song throughout their ... read more
At this point, I can't really say much bout their sound because its has always been the same. However, I kinda fuck with how they sound on this album. There are some skips here and there but the sound feels more deep compared to their previous albums which felt almost lifeless.
The title isnt exaggerating. This really is something out of the ordinary. Genuinely gives me a whole lot of Black Midi vibes when it comes to their production. Absolutely love the killer jazzy drum grooves in the opening track. The album sounds really mysterious and not to mention eerie but I promise you, its not as eerie as you think. The instrumentals were absolutely amazing from start to finish, I absolutely adored what this album was going for and I had an overall fucking blast with ... read more
Such a short lived career...
With how beautiful this album is, it just shows how much of an impact this had on the entire music scene. Crazy that 1 album could define a whole artists legacy which will be carried on till the end of time. Powerful voice and performance, beautiful melodies and production that still holds up amazingly decades later. Jeff Buckley's career may have been short but you can't deny the impact he's made with a single album.
I can't really say much bout this album. It's kinda just there to exist and there's really nothing special about it. It sounds fine but it just sounds like every other mediocre Foo Fighter's album.
So pure, so emotional, so realistic. Genuinely such a beautiful and chill album from start to finish. All I can say is that Come Back to Earth may be one of the beautiful openers to an album I've heard in awhile. It sets the tone right for the album and builds upon in from there. Not to mention, So It Goes may also be one of the best closers I've heard in awhile with its heaven like synth climax at the very end. Was very underwhelmed with The Divine Feminine but Mac Miller turned the ... read more
Gonna get quite a bit of heat from this take but I was pretty underwhelmed with this album. Production wise was great overall with those clean guitar blues squeezed in at some points but what I really didn't like was how laid back Mac Miller was on this whole album. Some lyrics felt so corny and almost half of the songs in the track list were at least 5 minutes or longer. There are some highlights here and there like the Anderson .Paak, Cee-Lo Green and Ty Dolla $ign feature were pretty ... read more
Originally didn't like this album but after a few re-listens, I kinda have a new appreciation for this album a little bit more than I used to. Production is great overall but sometimes can be overdone, vocally is amazing and I'd say I had a fun time with this album. Although, my main complaints are mainly on what the 2nd half has to offer. The album starts really lightly and as we reach into the 2nd half, the mood for the album slightly changes and I'm not such a fan of it. ... read more
Really solid project from Abel with him bringing in this really powerful atmosphere which can sometimes feel like its a little too much. This album has a cool concept and theme going with it while on keeping up the classic Weeknd sound. I personally think this is a better album than Starboy because of how unorganized Starboy was.
Probably every soy boy and girls favorite album at this point. I absolutely loved Channel Orange and I came into this with pretty high expectations. And I can confidently say that my expectations were completely blown miles away because I absolutely love this album from start to finish. First and for most, just by already hearing the first track, you can tell you're in for an immense ride through everything this album has to offer from its stellar production to Frank Ocean's beautiful ... read more
Such a relaxing and beautiful album all round with Frank Ocean's soothing vocals complimenting it. Not to mention, this was released in 2012??????? This shit was really two steps ahead.
Besides their 2nd single ' WE PRAY ' which was quite a bit disappointing after their 1st single of this album, all I can say is that this is just some of the most beautiful sounding music Coldplay have put out in a hot minute. My most anticipated album of the entire year and it genuinely felt like yesterday when Moon Music was announced. For context, Coldplay is my absolute favorite band of all time and its by quite a long margin. I love them as a band for what they've done in ... read more
After what felt like a whole trilogy of mid, they managed to pull through with one of their better projects. It keeps up the hard rock energy throughout the whole album with Dave Grohl's vocals sounding so good on this album. Definitely a top 3 Foo Fighters album in my books
