What really surprises me is how versatile and consistent SRV is on every track. It may sound like hard copies of the previous song but it does something unique with how it sounds and I think are the best element on this album. I still cant get over how amazing it concludes itself with some soothing kicky and relaxing guitar blues in the end. However, there are some moments where I feel like SRV was reusing the same pattern for a few tracks which kind of left me unsatisfied. Nonetheless, ... read more
Quite a lot of fun to be had with this project. I came in with very low expectations and in the end, I feel somewhat satisfied. Its nothing special but it does its job for a pop record in this current era. Quite a few misses but a lot of bops such as Please 3x and Juno. Even the biggest hit off of the album, Espresso, I could get by once in awhile even though I've heard that shit almost everywhere at this point.
There is a lot to enjoy on this album from this album such as the opening track, American Idiot and the deep emotional cut such as Wake Me Up When September Ends. The first half starts off strong but slowly loses its momentum at the very end. I genuinely couldn't stand the insanely long almost 10 min tracks which were really tiring snooze fests.
Every time I hear this song, it brings me back to when I was younger. Growing up hurts but that's just how life is.
Eminem really puts his all into a show of bright concepts and ideas. Its hard to choose between Marshal Matters LP and the Eminem Show on which album I'd prefer more because both are a masterclass in its own way. ON MM LP, Eminem raps about his rise to fame leading to the consequences from it while on the other hand, The Eminem Show brings us with a similar concept in a more intense delivery. Lyrically is almost on par with the MM LP, Eminem's rapping is chef's kiss, and overall ... read more
Well... I'm not too crazy over SPLHCB but after a few re-listens, its barely growing on me by a very small margin. I can see the impact this album had in the 60s because of how revolutionary and ahead of time it was. Not to mention, there are so many innovative and creative ideas applied into this album which I do appreciate. It's just that it way too outdated to be considered the greatest album of all time. Even with a 100 critic score, I genuinely can't find much replay of this ... read more
Genuinely over hated. I can see why this is a highly critically acclaimed album but c'mon, its such a blast.
What did I just hear.... I felt like my life flashed right in front of me and sent me into a dark void. It gives off the mysteriousness from Pink Floyd's DSOTM which I find to be a perfect album. However, this album multiplies the intensity and depth out of this world. Words cannot describe how blown away I am by this album from the over the top instrumentals to the mysterious and somewhat chaotic vocals and voices I hear in the background. Truly a masterpiece of its genre.
I genuinely loved Imperials and this album is on par with it. From the hooks to the amazing singing and rapping performance by Denzel, this album delivers on all levels.
Took me awhile to finally listen to this album maybe cause I wasn't too crazy bout Guns N Roses in the first place. So my expectations were pretty high for this since I've heard this album's been critically acclaimed quite a bit. Overall, I'm genuinely happy my expectations were met because this album is amazing. Lyrically and instrumentally a work of art from start to finish. Not too crazy for some tracks but it doesn't take away from the experience.
It's nothing revolutionary or anything but some highly certified 1am music right here. Her voice is so crispy and unique which adds on to that bliss.
not crazy bout it honestly. Even putting aside the wilbur controversy, there previous stuff was way better.
