I'm genuinely blown away from what I've just listened to. Not only does black midi keep up the mysterious vibes on each track, it just feels like a complete album overall. Production, instrumentals and lyricism is on top tier from start to finish
Its an overall solid album filled with powerful vocals and lyrics. However, it's an album that doesn't have much replay value to it. I ain't gonna be listening to royal music every now and then.
One of my favorite movie soundtracks of 2023. Filled with some amazing highlights and some questionable lows, it stands decently as a standalone album in my opinion. The features on this album are absolutely stacked and do deliver in its own respective way. In the end, great soundtrack, great album.
Such a well produced and written album from start to finish. Igor was a solid album to me in my opinion. Had some standouts but I'd personally say CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST is a more enjoyable album overall.
This album does bring you a great experience overall. To be honest, the strongest points of this album were the opening and ending tracks which do compete for some Travis's best moments in his career.
Country is genre I find quite challenging to enjoy. However, this album really made me appreciate country music 1 step at a time. The vocals are beautiful, the instrumentals is really something else especially the guitar fingering. Lyrically is also amazing from start to finish.
Franz Ferdinand is a band I have a deep appreciation for since its one of the first indie rock bands I've listened to. Something about their production and storytelling in their songs just hits with me and this may be on par with their debut. Its one of those albums where you can have so many deep, emotional moments and still vibe the living shit out of it.
Lana literally sounds so drunk which somehow works but doesn't land most of the time. Also , "Fucked My Way Up To the Top" is genuinely one of her worst songs ever. Besides that, she has beautiful voice but she keeps tryna make some crybaby impression that just feels irritating most of the time. One of her weakest albums but the highs on it are high (literally) .
Such a beautifully written album from start to finish. Words cannot describe how deep of a connection this felt to me. Lyrically, instrumentally and of course, vocally some of the most beautiful I've heard.
This album is an absolute staple in its genre and doubles up on it with such powerful and mind blowing performances. To add on, for a debut, this solidifies itself as one of the best debut rock albums I've heard.
From the to the end, I felt like I just went through a whole new phase. This is up there for one of the best rap albums of the decade. JID delivers some of the most creative and highly produced rap performances I've ever heard. His flow and rapping is actually something not to be taken lightly.
Pure heart and dedication towards their performances on this album. What an amazing debut!
Daniel's vocals are very soothing and beautiful from start to finish. Bro manages to produce such a relaxing and well produced project that makes my ears come to ease.
What an experience. Can't believe this is the first time I'm hearing off Jeff Rosenstock and I definitely regret not knowing of him way earlier. Bro delivers a powerful performance on every song and makes it feel like he made it all in one take. Amazing album!
This album is truly an experience. Almost every track carries itself on its back with its lyricism, story and overall flow. The Ken Kaniff track really left me questioning everything leading up to that point.
