Had so much potential in the 2nd half but it just threw it all away
A whole bunch of filler with a few standout tracks with no specific direction its heading
I've never listened to J. Cole's music before so I'd take this as my first impressions on it. I really enjoyed this album and I think in general it has a good amount of replay value. The beat choices for most tracks are what you'd normally hear in 2010s hip hop. Sideline Story and Lost Ones are some memorable highlights but other than that, I prolly wont be returning to any of the other songs.

Not to mention, the track list is really inconsistent with the mood they're tryna capture. Had really high expectations for this album and was my most anticipated for the ... read more
A beautiful conclusion to the After Hours trilogy and his overall discography. I'm so glad that Abel kept on building upon his sound and getting more and more ambitious as time goes on. I really enjoyed the first 2 instalments and I can confidently say that Hurry Up Tomorrow was worth the 3 year wait. Although there's only one track I despise which is Sao Paulo, the rest of the album completely outshines it in every way possible. My overall favorite tracks are either Baptized In Fear ... read more
Oh my god, the switch up to those powerful drums in the middle of the song
