While the energy on the first half is instantly enticing, there’s really nothing there. The beats in this half are, for the most part, interesting, but Carti’s voice doesn’t help them at all. Especially his raspy growl he does throughout this album.
The back half of this album really works though. Past Vamp Anthem, this album turns into a consistently enjoyable track list. Over, Sky, Not Playing, and King Vamp have some incredibly enjoyable beats set to Carti’s more ... read more
Something I personally found only 2 years ago, but an album that really altered and connected with my music tastes. This is a fantastic and super unique project.
The District Sleeps Tonight and Such Great Heights a time as the most poppy and exciting songs on this thing, but everything is so good here. Nothing Better utilizes The Postal Service’s unique, electronic sound to its full capacity, elevating Ben Gibbard and Jen Wood’s duet.

Face of My City is a bit of a fall off, only because Lil Baby just bodies Jack on this track, taking any goodwill from Jack’s verse away immediately. Followed by 21C/Delta, a drake track, but at least a good drake track with a killer second half, ... read more
