I love kodak so much...but you know it's not an amazing album when the best song off of it is a Loe Shimmy throwaway LOL.
A really good album at times, with some songs that could genuinely be considered some of the best Trap songs...but it's wayyyy too damn long. And a lot of the longest songs on here have little to no variation as the duration of the song goes on. Songs like 3500 and Nightcrawler do NOT need to be as long as they are.
The best, and most fleshed out project from $B that'll be considered a classic as the years go on.
Why can't they stop releasing all of their unreleased shit, and just start releasing BETTER music instead of more?
One of my favorite $B projects. SOSOSO many good songs on this album, that if I started listing them it would start to sound like I'm reading the tracklist lol.
All 3 of the rappers on this album bring a lot of energy, and some really good ass songs. Although as an EP it's not much, some songs like Gutter Bravado and Went To Rehab are SUPER good.
I really don't get why people have such mixed opinions on this. I really think some songs on this album are some of Childish Gambino's best, I.E. No Excuses and Lithonia, but some songs get treated like they're unlistenable, when they're far from it. Personally, I really liked listening to this start to finish and don't have much bad to say about it, besides the fact as an album it falls short compared to his other projects.
Me and Your Mama is AMAZING, along with a lot of this album. But with how great it can be, I don't feel like it amasses to much singularly within each song, and some songs kinda take me out of the album listening experience. Still, his best work and his most put together album.
This re-master is more polished in general...but some songs actually sound worse on here, I.E. Sweet Thang; my Favorite track from 3.15.20 sounding wayy more compressed than before. Although there are some songs that sound way better on here than the original, I think I PREFER the more scuffed and realistic sound of 3.15.20 rather than the more straight-forward and basic mixing on here.
Ughhh...this album could be SO good if it wasn't 80% production, 15% Ken and Lone saying fuck-all, and 5% Distortion up the ass. I Need U is a really good song though, Me N My Kup is cool, and I Really like the beat to Paranoid.
Apparently it's a controversial opnion...but I REALLY really like this album. Not as much as some other of Tyler's projects, but still super good.
REALLY really good...except for See You Again, everything else is amazing:)
On the same level of CMIYGL, but more personal and doesn't have DJ Drama yelling on every song's intro, so that's a huge W.
