One of the best Nu-Metal singles created, and just a banger riff in general.
It's funny that when many people hear these type of edgy songs, they believe that it's the kind of stuff that makes people "turn suicidal" or "become depressed" when the reality is the complete opposite.
It's cos these lyrics make me and others realize I'm not alone in feeling and having these experiences...? And when I don't feel lonely, it encourages me that I can push ... read more
Album of the future from 1997, extremely ahead of its time.
Must listen. One of the all time greats of electronic music.
Will still be cool 1000 years from now.
This is a lot more aggressive than Symptoms of Survival, and even though the shredding isn't as harsh as I thought it would be it's still pretty damn good for the pacing. The bits where it slips into the more ephemeral moments before dropping into hard shredding is just fantastic and one of the reasons I'm starting to really become groomed into metalcore from my more regular 80's metal tastes.
I'm also not just impressed by the vocalist, I think I'm in love, ... read more
Very abrupt start, but I like the riffs and the pace is excellent, very 2000s coded, wish more music sounded like it
BMTH feels like the Angsty Emo Cousin of Underoath, Diamonds Aren't Forever is the best highlight.
Gonna be definitely interested in the rest of their discography. I think the best thing about this album is that the aggression is tempered by the riffs so it doesn't get lost in anger and rage and can form a coherent pace.
Definitely give it a listen if you enjoy Metalcore
Damn, I do like this band but it feels like as they've gone on they're losing the sauce a bit.
It's nowhere near a bad album of course, and there's still great songs on this album, but the mix and production isn't as energetic or soulful as They're Only Chasing Safety. Vocals are still clean and the breakdowns are solid as ever, but I feel as though they can do better than this.
Hopefully their later albums improve from this, but this album is very much still worth ... read more
It's still shockingly peaceful and calm for a metalcore album, Dying Wish really know how to get you pumped and relaxed at the same time. Lots of metal albums get you psyched, and this does at times too, but my heart rate never went above 100 lmao.
It's like one of those albums you can fall asleep to despite itself.
Paved in Sorrow is the highlight because when it switches gears into Acoustic melody it really just hangs true how fucking incredible the vocalist is, she could be just ... read more
Excellent vocals and shredding, it's just so relaxing to listen to, as funny as that seems considering how hard they're trying with this album. It's so violent, yet it never feels so violent that it's harsh to listen to, it's as digestible as the hardcore stuff from the 90's.
Short sweet & to the point, and each song is over so quickly it's amazing how they're able to crank out so many.
Highlight is definitely Enemies in Red, Bryan Garris was awesome.
Surprising amount of strength and heaviness from this Nu Metal band from Thailand.
Obscure, and all of the better for it, cos they have such excellent melodies and acoustics mixed in between the heavy shredding that could put Dio to shame.
Even tho I don't speak Thai yet, the lyrics and vocal performance was awesome, ranging from symphonic singing to gutteral growls that evoke tons of emotion.
A real sleeper out there hit
Music so good it's hard coded into my DNA, I know every single track and piece like the back of my hand, and I sometimes hear this when I sleep. Very few pieces of background ambient music are able to pull that off
The mellow mix is also just as good.
666 sounds like he's saying SEX SEX SEX lol
FR though, it's very fast and aggressive. Solid amount of shredding and drum work. Wouldn't be out of place in the late 90's.
Vocals are a hilarious mix between heavy growls and shredding.
It's also a real marathon of an album, songs are long and it goes on and on, and despite the repetitive nature of some of the songs it never gets dull or boring. Impressive that it can keep attention for this long, that said it is a bit ... read more
Vocals are far too angsty and safe-edgy nihilism for my tastes, which is sad because there's some real talent and strength in the musical composition of these songs; the melodic tunes and shredding is fantastic and relentless.
If this was an album with no vocals I think I would enjoy it a hell of a lot more. They get more tolerable as the songs go on, but they just isn't the right fit for me.
That last song is really good however so elevates it from a 50 to a 70 and is like night and ... read more
Very noisy, and quite messy and uncoordinated, but the songs are quite quick.
Needed to listen a few times to get the most out of it, and still can't decide whether I like it or not.
The songs start chaotic and messy but become more interesting as they go on.
Worth a quick listen if you're into mathcore.
Chaos is a ladder.
Insane production and loud and chaotic, but it's bound together with insanely good melodies that don't make it feel disjointed or aimless.
Vocalist was indescipherable, but that kinda works to the tone and ambience of this album, and those female vocals on "The Family Faucet" go insanely hard and elevate this from a 75 to an 80
For a debut album it certainly comes out swinging hard
Good idea to keep watch of this band, their potential for greatness is ... read more
Pretty solid riffs and bass and drums, has a great rhythm to everything, main things is that I just don't vibe with the vocalist, even though he shows impressive range from growls to screaming, just doesn't fit well, which is weird because I've heard vocalists that sound similar and yet think they sound so much better. The album does improve as it goes on which is good, and the variety between the deathcore does elevate this highly
With the Allspark gone, we cannot return life to our planet. And fate has yielded it’s reward, a new world to call home. We live among its people now, hiding in plain site but watching over them in secret… waiting…protecting.
I have witnessed their capacity for courage, and though we are worlds apart, like us, there’s more to them than meets the eye.

THE TOUCH
THE POWER
THE MATRIX OF LEADERSHIP
You just can't get better than this.
Even beyond The Touch, every song kicks ass
I even like Dare to Be Stupid, it's soulful, it's peak
Transformers is peak cinema, in all iterations.
A nice bite sized piece of metalcore to rock your head off too.
Short and sweet and to the point, isn't long or drags or has amazing highs or low lows
It's just good music that you should listen to
