It breaks my heart to say but this album was a major let down. From Opus Eponymous to Prequelle every album they released offered something different and brought a unique flavor to the table. With Prequelle, they leaned a little into 80s arena rock and threw that into the mix with a sound that was still pretty reminiscent of their past work. This is an album that depending on the day I can feel a little different about. However, I never have thought I’m this album is anything short of great. I think this has some of the best melodic and gorgeous parts the band ever put together and the juxtaposition between the melodic and heavy is done so well here.
