Elliott Smith. The man, the myth. The one whom I'm yet to listen until the week previous, and I surely hope I don't make you all furious, but my opinion is probably not as positive as you might expect. Though I do pay the man a lot of Respect, and I do like the record overall, I just don't think it's as great as y'all.

Anyway, Elliott Smith is one of the most famous and beloved singer-songwriters, one who affected and influenced many artists (including Phoebe Bridgers, whom I reviewed fairly ... read more

OK, TL;DR - for those of you who don't know, I'm an Israeli fella and yesterday was Israel's independence day. Since I'm yet to review any Israeli album, and I'm yet to give a proper listen to many Israeli classics, I thought that it'd be nice to review an Israeli album. The rest of the review will be on Hebrew, so I'll give you the summary right now:

Eviatar Banai's debut album is a very solid piece, in which he depicts himself as this deranged, lonely person who can't create true intimacy. ... read more

Back in the end of 2020, I haven't had any platform to post my reviews on. Literally nothing. I was doing these amateurish (more than my reviews these days, at least) reviews on my WhatsApp status, and near the end of 2020 I decided to do a year end list. Problem was, I haven't heard tons of albums this year. My solution? Basically speedrunning some essentials that came out in 2020 - Lianne La Havas, Visions of Bodies Being Burned and Punisher were all albums that I gave a quick listen, a short ... read more

Though Time Escaping and Simulation Swarm are two singles from this massive double LP that I loved from the very first time I've heard, this double LP is, as said, MASSIVE. 20 songs, 80 minutes of music. Ladies, gentlemen and everyone else, I am no coward but I'm quite far from being a guy that listens casually to album this long. Swans are still hellishly intimidating to me, though I really wanna check them out. Anyway, I'm trying to explain why it took me so much time to get around to it and ... read more

I gave this album a chance quite a while ago and it kinda felt to me like...well, not really a miss, but more of a vibe that I'll need time to get into. Something I don't quite understand enough yet, not enough to review it. I had a similar experience while reviewing a drone/slowcore album for the first time (HEY WHAT by Low), and I'm definitely glad I came back to this one.

Anyway, The Velvet Underground is a NYC based band that was active primarily during the late 60's and the early 70's. ... read more
