What it occasionally lacks in stylistic consistency, DNWMIBIY more than makes up for with plenty of charming and quirky indie folk tunes.

Glitch Princess is alienating and dark, but also gentle and introspective. Take a song like Bites on My Neck, which sees Ćmiel grappling with a toxic romantic relationship. The track begins with some soft ambient-pop keys but eventually builds to a glitched-out, club-driving chorus -- all the while, Ćmiel's impassioned singing is backed by a stream of manic shrieks. It's at the same time empowering and deeply melancholic.

Despite its overly-ambitious runtime, Perfect Light certainly delivers in the department of melancholic-slowcore.
