Could care less about the tracks at the end of the album but Kendrick does a pretty damn good job with this album. It feels more like a merging of both To Pimp A Butterfly and mad city, although this album will never be as good at its predecessors. Good album.
This album is horrendous. The real problem is the artist is actually talented, he just can't sing. His singing completely ruins and tears up the album.
And surely you can argue "well, maybe you just don't like the genre", and maybe that's true, but maybe that's because a lot of the artists have no natural singing ability and it results in horrible results. This guy would be a great rhythm guitarist for any band yet he chooses to make solo work and continues to be unrecognized.
This album is one of those that grow on you, so expect change.
I feel like this album probably would have been longer if there wasn't just 23 minutes of content, but nonetheless this album was a pretty enjoyable experience but at certain times it felt like it lacked. Maybe its the lack of content, I'm not sure, but overall the experience of this album wasn't one that I hated. Maybe a future listen I might change the rating a bit.
This album is a lot to digest, but it has to be one of the greatest rap albums of all time. Kanye West shows his true talent and I also really like the sampling he used in this album.
why is this GOOD why is this GOOD I LOVE DAVE GROHL I LOVE DAVE GROHL I LOVE DAVE GROHl
Aside from a couple tracks that can be boring at times, this album is really good, especially tracks like Everlong which are really emotional and powerful tracks. Dave grohl is an amazing songwriter who truly knows how to make a melody. Good album.
