Death cab for Cutie will have the most emotional heart-breaking song in the middle of the fucking album I don't understand the sequencing
Production on this album is terrible... call it mud city its muddy. Fuck you Johnny Craig
Falls of near the end but has some of the best production of any album I've ever heard.
There's a reason this is one of the best-selling vinyls of all time. A technical magnum opus that redefined what the 80s was about.
The most unique of DGDs discography Happiness is a huge highlight with some of the best riffs and lyrics. Kurt Travis brought everything on this album he was a fantastic vocalist for DGD.
Yeah maybe a couple of songs on here I’m not that crazy about but still its okay regardless pretty okay album not bad
The more and more i hear from Radiohead and learn about the people in Radiohead the less i like them. The level of pretentiousness exhibited in calling this “art rock” or “art pop” is laughable. People with a superiority complex can’t just enjoy music they have to distinguish it with a stupid genre tag that says “this music is real art and other music is less important”.
Mostly good quite possibly the most overrated album of all time. Comparing this album to other albums commonly thought to be 10/10s it falls a little short. Is this album still good? Yes but I think people are clouded by nostalgia.
Also calling this art rock is so stupid this sounds nothing like Bowie or Roxy music you can’t just use random words to describe things that’s not how genre works
Literally took nothing away from this. Seems like Richard is content playing the hits so to speak.
