In a sense, this album is both a step forward and a step back for Tyler. Cherry Bomb unlocks a new sound for Tyler that would later evolve to the knockout that is Flower Boy, and you can hear it certain songs, such as “Fucking Young/Perfect.” but at the same time, the production completely devolved from Wolf. It’s almost humorous to listen to at times. On the title track, for example, you can’t even hear Tyler, even when he’s yelling at times. With the criticism ... read more
This has to be one of the most overrated albums I’ve heard. I have no idea how people consider this thing as one of the best rap albums of all time. To me, it’s just a big hour-length mess of the same songs over and over again. The songs all follow the same formula: a clean, yet edgy beat while Eminem raps about committing various crimes and raping his mom. Some songs are better than others and are actually quite catchy, I’ll have to admit that, but there’s still little ... read more

It was a new and exciting feeling that I could only really get from listening to that song specifically. That’s why I was very eager to listen to this album, to try to see if I could get that feeling in any other songs, and I think it’d be unfair to say that it ... read more
So, apparently this is supposed to be one of the greatest albums of all time, and after listening to this album, I think I can make out why people think that. A stellar example of this is the title track itself or I Talk To The Wind, with that weird yet hypnotic flute part throughout the song. Going ... read more
This album is a really fun and enjoyable listen. It's a one-of-a-kind experience that The Flaming Lips never really recreated, not even in their more prominent works such as The Soft Bulletin. It's just amazing how you can turn such a silly and laughable idea into something beautiful and deep that's just so moving. Something about this album is just so...alluring and you just have to give it a listen to know what I mean.
