Deftones - private music

“private music” by Deftones

This is a really good Alternative metal album it is also the first album I have listened to from the band Deftones and I was not left disappointed. The instrumentals of the album are amazing and the vocals are awesome throughout the entire album. I certainly see the appeal of Deftones and will probably return to listen to more of their discography. This was a really enjoyable album and while I do have a few small issues the pros outweigh the cons I have ... read more

Joji - Piss In The Wind

"Piss In The Wind" by Joji

For an album that is 21 songs and spans over 45 minutes it is not that great. Joji's vocals were quite nice throughout the project and the production throughout the project was nice it is the actual contents of the tracks that I have an issue with. Most of the songs are barely either under or over 2 minutes long and in my opinion there just isn't enough substance to warrant it. When most of the tracks ended I was just like... Paul McCartney - The Boys of Dungeon Lane

"The Boys of Dungeon Lane" by Paul McCartney

This was actually better than I expected. This is an enjoyable album by Paul here. It's nothing crazy but at 83 years of age and creating music that is this decent is an achievement in itself in this day and age. I personally enjoyed listening to this album. I do think the production/instrumentals are the best bit of the album. He even teamed up with fellow "The Beatles" member "Ringo Starr" for one of the songs ... read more

JPEGMAFIA - EXPERIMENTAL RAP

"EXPERIMENTAL RAP" by JPEGMAFIA

This album did not need to be 25 tracks long. Peggy could of cut like 6 tracks and then it might of been decent along with potentially making a few of the songs a tad longer because it just feels like most of the songs are the same. Most of the lyrical content is just the same throughout the album making it sound repetitive and most of the production is just fine nothing spectacular there are some moments where the production is actually really good. ... read more

Basement - WIRED

"WIRED" by Basement

In my opinion, this album suffers from having a bit of a lacklustre first half but then a decent second half to the album at least to me anyways. This is overall a fine alt-rock/emo album I can definetly see why some people like it but for me anyways most of the songs are just not for me personally. There isn't anything really wrong with this album it just kind of sounds the same for a few songs and thats really it. To be honest I don't really know what ... read more

"status update music" by leroy

The most notable thing with this album are the plethora of samples that in my opinion are used really well in creating an all-around hard hitting album even sampling their own songs like "Experimental Skin" on the song "NOTHING LASTS FOREVER (EVERY DETAIL U HAVE EVER TOLD ME)" as well as other songs such as "Womanizer" by Britney Spears on the song "I DID THIS FOR US". Overall for the production I think it was ... read more

"アンハッピーリフレイン [Unhappy Refrain]" by wowaka

Managed to find a playlist on YouTube Music for this thing because it is not officially release on any streaming service really.
This was honestly one of the best albums I have ever listened to genuinely. Where do I start? The instrumentals/production is some of the greatest and most rich I have ever heard in my life. The vocals from Miku just add to the entire experience. At no point during listening to this album was I ... read more

"Even in Arcadia" by Sleep Token

This is a fine album. This was my introduction to Sleep tokens music and to be honest I don't hate it but I don't absolutely love it I probably need to listen to more of their stuff to form an opinion on them to be honest. This a decent Alt-pop album but I do think some of the songs can go on for a bit too long like I think you could shorten "Gethsemane" by like 30 or so seconds (Just as an example). But overall I didn't ... read more

North West - N0rth4evr

“N0rth4evr” by North West

This was so much better than I expected. But then again nothing could have prepared me for a Kikuo sample (Kikuo is my favourite producer oat) as well as a bloody Caramelldasan sample made it so much better. I am actually looking forward to what North does in the future because the production on this thing was actually really good.

"Alive 2007" by Daft Punk

This is the first "Live" album I have listen to and it was amazing. I really liked how they intertwined their songs with some of their other songs which made for a really cool listen. I will admit I haven't listen to the entirety of Daft Punk's discography so I definitely have some listening to do. Overall there isn't much I can really say other than it is an amazing "Live" album.

"blog era boyz" by mgk & Wiz Khalifa

I would of listened to this thing earlier in the day but I was too busy watching the CS2 Asia Championships Quarterfinals... (My team lost 2-0 with a triple overtime in the second match on Ancient (42 rounds on Ancient in total)). Anyways, this mixtape is not really that good. It is just boring. While I do think some of the production is decent I just think mgk just kind of spoils it. Wiz was fine but the majority of this mixtape felt like it ... read more

Kill Bill: The Rapper - RAMONA

"RAMONA" by Kill Bill

This is an amazingly produced mixtape. This is the first time I have listened to Kill Bill's music and I was not let down in the slightest. The Lo-Fi production of this mixtape mixed with jazz rap and abstract hip hop made for a amazing first listen. Bill's flows and vocals throughout this mixtape are amazing. I can't get over how amazing the production of this thing is it is genuinely so amazing. The lyrics as well are also a strong point with ... read more

Zay Dante - TASTE

"TASTE" by Zay Dante

I have been a fan of Zay's content for a while now and this is his debut album. I think this is a decent "youtuber" music album. I do think some of the songs can be a bit repetitive. However, I do think a majority of the songs on this album are enjoyable. Zay's flows are decent and the production on this project is really good all things considered. I do see potential for a better project in the future.

The third album Drake release along side with "ICEMAN" and "MAID OF HONOUR" and it is not that good. This was definitely worse than "ICEMAN" but definitely better than whatever the hell "MAID OF HONOUR" was. Overall this album was boring as a whole the best parts about this project is most of the production on this thing was fine the lyrics were meh and the vocals were meh as well. The features on this thing were not that ... read more

“MAID OF HONOUR” by Drake

What the actual hell was this? Genuine question. This is not good. This mix of hip house and R&B is not it in the slightest. The rapping is not as good as it was on Iceman and the beats/production on this album was just boring it did have some moments but overall it wasn’t great. The features on this album were ok at best (I will admit the sexyy red feature did make me giggle slightly purely for how ridiculous it was). Overall this is a bad ... read more

"ICEMAN" by Drake

For me this is a middle of the road album or in other terms just a mid album there are some moments that I don't mind and songs that are decent but others are just boring. I will say I am not the biggest fan of Drakes music. Most of the production on this album is decent and most of the lyrics are fine. I do think Drake could have shortened this album slightly even if it is just shortening some of the tracks. I was surprised by the small amount of features on ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST

"CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST" By Tyler, The Creator

-200th album-

This was a really good album (In my opinion anyways). All of the songs have an unnatural charm to them whether it is the production feeling like a summer day at the beach, the lyrics with its braggadocious themes as well as themes about freedom and romance or the vocals and rapping from everyone involved especially Tyler killing it through out the entire runtime of this album. The whole album felt like it just flew by ... read more

System of a Down - Toxicity

"Toxicity" by System of a Down

This is one of the most influential metal albums ever and I do see why it is. The production of this album is explosive and aggressive with political themes intertwined in the lyrical contents of this album. This makes for a really interesting listen (for me anyways since metal music isn't really my thing). The whole album is an experience in itself with how well each of the songs flow into each other quite well.

BTS is back with a new album and it is... meh. I will admit the main reason I checked this out is the credits on the album such as production from Mike WiLL Made-It and writing credits from JPEGMAFIA and Teezo Touchdown. I think the production of this album is actually decent for the most part I do think the production of this album either makes or breaks each of the songs of the album. Most of the tracks in the first half of the album is very pop rap while the ... read more

This was my first IDM album I have listened to and I don't think this genre is quite for me. The album isn't terrible its just not the kind of thing I would listen too. I do think there are interesting ideas on this album but I do think they could of been done slightly better. I do think the production is fine it is just kind of boring on some of the songs and sometimes it can be kind of annoying. Again I don't think this album is for me. ... read more
