Ok I really dig this album - fans of proggy metal bands a la Dvne, Haken, Katatonia, Soen, Tool etc should find this to be a satisfyingly contemplative and uniquely flavorful journey through the dark stretches of innerspace. Will be listening to this many times!
I was lucky enough to get into this band only a handful of years after this album. IMO they had plenty of good releases but never quite captured the same essence as this epic baddie. It’s just right in the sweet spot. I’m relistening today, walking down memory lane and still can’t believe gawd, what a timeless metalcore album.
I owned this album when it first came out. I had the opportunity to see one of their last shows with this singer. 22 years later and this album is still one of the sickest metalcore albums I’ve ever heard. Period.
If you ever wondered what it would sound like if Macintosh Plus, Emperor and Joe Satriani collaborated together on an album. Kenny G dropped in a few times at the studio too.
