Bull Believer is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard and it’s the second song. Too bad most of the album doesn’t really live up to the expectations it sets. Still extremely solid though!
Very good but it all just started to sound the same to me. Don’t understand why this isn’t a bit more popular though.
Speechless, that shit was so unbelievably beautiful but crazy and intense at the same time. It's easily one of the best concept albums I've ever heard with the lyrics and themes perfectly matching the unique sound Black Midi creates. Here they show that they've combined the harsh sound of Schlagenheim and jazzy sound Cavalcade in order to create something that is unlike anything I've heard before. Most importantly though, no matter how crazy it gets, it always works.
Logic isn't taking anymore shit and he has certainly just shown that, I really appreciate this switch up of style. His love for hip hop and sampling really shines here, and while most songs are very enjoyable, it is slightly overlong.
A little bit slow for my liking but this is incredibly beautiful music and I like what she does with her voice here a lot more than on My Woman. It’s a lot more relaxed and peaceful and I appreciate that even though I was slightly bored around the middle. The strings here are so amazing as well, especially on the last track.
FUCK MORRISSEY!!! All the homies hate Morrissey.
However, these are some delightful tunes. Thank you Morrissey
The musical feeling of being on a roller coaster and hanging over the edge of a huge drop for a long time, and then being plunged straight down
Honestly, not at all what I expected. A part of me is kind of disappointed, only because I'm so used to Kendrick's innovative bangers that the really laid back vocal delivery really shocked me. However, I love the storytelling and I think the instrumentals are just beautiful. A few songs really just don't stand out to me though
EDIT: I WAS WRONG! I've listened to this 5 times now and every single time it gets better, and of course it's innovative. I just had to get used to the style. This ... read more
Lots of these songs have replay value and a chill to listen to, but as a whole album its just kind of a bore and there's nothing remotely interesting here compared to Big Fish Theory
Some absolutely lovely jazz songs on here but I think the rest are gonna be growers. This is the kind of album I think I could listen to again and love way more
Much better than Pony, which I’m very happy to say. While it didn’t surpass Apricot Princess and lacked a big ‘wow’ factor, I couldn’t help but still love every second of it. It’s just a really chill, fun album with happy vibes all over it and a more diverse range of songs for Rex. I’m very excited to see him perform in August and I think he’s done a very good job with the album.
