led zeppelin is a band that feels basic to me. i’ve always found stairway to heaven to be overhyped and not as good as people say it is. i felt like giving them one more chance so i put this album on and i enjoyed it. i do like stairway to heaven a bit more now and i find it to be more enjoyable and an actually great song. i still prefer misty mountain top tho.

went on a walk with my dog and gave this one a listen and i kinda love it. the album has a very dark and dingy vibe to it. it feels like walking through london on a cold cloudy winter day in 1980 which feels very black and white. i think the cover adds more to make that black and white feel come together and really set the tone for the album. it’s a great listen and i would definitely recommend it.

today the weather was quite cloudy and rainy so i wanted to listen to an album that had a grey vibe so i put this on. i really enjoyed this because the atmosphere around this album was just really calming and very relaxing. this is an album that just makes me feel productive and it took me through such a cool journey and i would definitely recommend it.

brat but it’s remixed and it has a bunch of different artists on it and it’s kinda its own thing but it isn’t and it’s still tied to the brat album but it also isn’t and it’s actually really good but not as good as the brat album itself but still really good.

this album is the definition of ‘ehh it’s alright’. it doesn’t really do anything too crazy and the production sounds samey and boring although the verses are cool but nothing too memorable. it sounds nice and i think there is some bangers on this mixtape but it doesn’t do anything out of the box or amazing.

this album is considered one of the best hip hop albums of all time. everyone’s heard it and everyone knows it… except me. i have this album on cd and vinyl but i have never properly listened to it in one go and i’m happy i did because this album is so much better when you listen to it front to back. the beats go hard, the verses are full of character and the skits add so much to the album and make it come together and sound immaculate. it is that good btw give this a listen. ... read more
previous to this i have never heard a plugg album before and i wasn’t familiar with the sound so this is definitely something new and i’m mixed on it. i appreciate them trying something new but this album was just not that interesting. i feel like alot of the songs weren’t unique and it just sounded like one big mess that wasn’t that entertaining. i prefer earl’s side of the album but even that side wasn’t anything crazy. anyways i’m at the end of my ... read more

for this rollout, fakemink was hyping this up to be this like insane experience that transcended the album format and was just kinda being a cornball which sorta caught my attention and i was interested to see if people were gonna like this because the day before the album dropped, jpegmafia dropped his album which was also sorta similar to this rollout and people were mixed on that one so i assumed this album would be just ok but to my surprise, i really really like it. i think fakemink had a ... read more
this ep is one that i kinda held off until later because i heard that it was earls sorta worst project which put me off it for a bit but i have given it a listen and i don’t like it that much. there are some ok songs like east and tisk tisk / cookies but overall just a boring and uninteresting ep.

i think this album could’ve been better than it ended up being. there are some great tracks like vin skully and sentry but i feel like this album blends in too much with the alchemists typical beats that don’t really do much to change things up. like it sounds good and it is pleasing to listen to but theres not much going on.

i’ve been going on an earl sweatshirt discog dive and i’m coming near the end of it. this is the last sort of ‘solo’ album left (i’m not counting voir dire as solo) and if this is earls last album, i’m happy it’s this one. i don’t have too much to say other than that and the album cover suits the album so well.

this album is an interesting one. i don’t find it funny like other people do but the bars are pretty creative like “pockets so deep it break space-time dimensions” and “shit could get ugly like ed sheeran” and production from people like bnyx and the alchemist give this album a unique sound. overall it’s pretty creative and it’s fun to give this a quick listen if you have 20 minutes to spare.

minecraft is my most played game. i have spent (as of the time i’m writing this) 2188 hours across multiple different platforms and probably more. before listening to this album i already heard alot of these songs just by them playing in the game and these songs serve the game so well. this soundtrack is masterfully made and it evokes a sense of nostalgia and is just an amazing experience listening through this fully.

before earl sweatshirt made doris, this was the type of music he made. it’s classic early 2010s odd future horrorcore with the iconic beats that era had. there are some pretty cool songs like earl and stapleton but besides those i don’t really care this much about this mixtape and it’s a bit outdated.

bloodluxe is basically just taking everything good about half blood and making it more so much more rich and complex. there are moments like the beat switch on toxic and the girl? on died and came back that just make this one so much more emotional and it just hits so hard. please give this a listen it is so worth it.

i’ve kinda gone down an earl sweatshirt rabbit hole the past like month and so far i think this is my least favourite out of his albums i’ve listened to so far. the album doesn’t really have much to say although there are some great songs like tabula rasa and 2010. overall a good album but nothing really sticks.

brat is one of the most important albums in my life. i was with my family on a road trip and we were coming home after a long day. i wanted to listen to some music so i put on my headphones and decided to listen to brat. i never listened to pop beforehand. i was mainly a surface level hiphop fan listening to kanye, kendrick and travis so this was gonna be something new. i put it on and i was immediately hooked. in fact we stopped in a town and i went into a record shop and bought this album on ... read more
brat is one of my favourite albums of all time but this is just terrible. theres no substance to it. it feels like an interlude which i wouldn’t mind but if this is the first impression we’re getting from this era then… this is disappointing.
