I enjoyed this quite a bit. I think miku's vocals suit this kind of dreamy shoegaze sound very well. It really adds to the sense of this coming from another world. Would definitely recommend if you want a relaxing shoegaze album to chill out with.
Don’t know if I’ve ever heard a song about divorce from people this young. Love how Gumi is tuned, especially for those high notes near the end.
Really impressed with this album. Lyrics have the same depressed 20 something charm as their new project, but feel a little more pointed and singer-songwriter-ey. The instrumentation is as impressive as ever, with their sax player in particular going off. Really liking the chill orchestral interludes as well, they really fit the album and help the pacing. Would strongly recommend if you enjoyed the new album!
Very relaxing album that doesn't sound like anything I've heard before. Cosmo's vocals were a surprising highlight, and they fit in super well with the dynamic instrumentation. Felt like every track had a different sound palette while still feeling cohesive. That being said, I wasn't "wow-ed", I suppose. Maybe with time I will come to love it, but my first impression is that it's very good but not my cup of tea.
The best album to soundtrack me slowly realize I’m not gonna finish my homework by midnight. Also, 54 minutes of balls to the wall metal music with some of the best guitar playing I’ve ever heard.
The first single from my college friend's band. The bass line is insane and the drumming compliments it really well. Think the song is at it's best in the second half when the whole band is jamming out. Great stuff, can't wait for "The Tides" to release.
Really creative indie project. Wears it's influences on it's sleeves while still feeling unique and interesting. The way it dances from track to track, you never quite know where it's going.
Really had to ruminate on this one, but it's grown on me. Sweet as sugar.
All the new tracks are excellent. Jamie Paige is proving that vocaloid music still has so much room to grow and develop and it's awesome.
This album has been on my radar for about a year now, and with Jamie Paigle’s recent work catching my attention, I finally got around to listening to it. It’s really sweet little project, but I think her new work is definitely more dynamic than this. That being said, it’s definitely worth a listen if your a Jamie Paige fan.
I can not get over how good Jamie Paige makes vocaloid sound. Also, the composition is so lively and colorful it brightens up my day with every play.
