kinoue64 - 空間、事情、時間、事象 [Space, Circumstances, Time, Events]

I enjoyed this quite a bit. I think miku's vocals suit this kind of dreamy shoegaze sound very well. It really adds to the sense of this coming from another world. Would definitely recommend if you want a relaxing shoegaze album to chill out with.

FLAVOR FOLEY - Water the Roses

Don’t know if I’ve ever heard a song about divorce from people this young. Love how Gumi is tuned, especially for those high notes near the end.

ROSALÍA - Berghain
95

Overwhelming beauty. Suddenly very interested in Rosalia.

Geese - 4D Country
80

Some good B sides from the 3D Country era. Cool shit.

Racing Mount Pleasant - Grip Your Fist, I'm Heaven Bound
85

Really impressed with this album. Lyrics have the same depressed 20 something charm as their new project, but feel a little more pointed and singer-songwriter-ey. The instrumentation is as impressive as ever, with their sax player in particular going off. Really liking the chill orchestral interludes as well, they really fit the album and help the pacing. Would strongly recommend if you enjoyed the new album!

Cosmo Sheldrake - The Much Much How How and I
75

Very relaxing album that doesn't sound like anything I've heard before. Cosmo's vocals were a surprising highlight, and they fit in super well with the dynamic instrumentation. Felt like every track had a different sound palette while still feeling cohesive. That being said, I wasn't "wow-ed", I suppose. Maybe with time I will come to love it, but my first impression is that it's very good but not my cup of tea.

Cameron Winter - Heavy Metal

Can’t wait to listen to this 100000 times

Metallica - Master of Puppets

The best album to soundtrack me slowly realize I’m not gonna finish my homework by midnight. Also, 54 minutes of balls to the wall metal music with some of the best guitar playing I’ve ever heard.

blink-182 - blink-182

I really liked the vibes on this album, but only a couple tracks really stuck out. Could def see it growing on me though.

bl4ck m4rket c4rt - Clones (LP2)

Makes me really sad.

Hypersigil - Ape on a Rock

The first single from my college friend's band. The bass line is insane and the drumming compliments it really well. Think the song is at it's best in the second half when the whole band is jamming out. Great stuff, can't wait for "The Tides" to release.

Willy Rodriguez - wetdream

Really creative indie project. Wears it's influences on it's sleeves while still feeling unique and interesting. The way it dances from track to track, you never quite know where it's going.

The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
85

Really had to ruminate on this one, but it's grown on me. Sweet as sugar.

Charli xcx - Pop 2

Lily Chou-Chou - 呼吸 (Kokyuu)

Beautiful music and it suits the movie perfectly.

Jamie Paige - Constant Companions (Deluxe Edition)
95

All the new tracks are excellent. Jamie Paige is proving that vocaloid music still has so much room to grow and develop and it's awesome.

Jamie Paige - Bittersweet
85

This album has been on my radar for about a year now, and with Jamie Paigle’s recent work catching my attention, I finally got around to listening to it. It’s really sweet little project, but I think her new work is definitely more dynamic than this. That being said, it’s definitely worth a listen if your a Jamie Paige fan.

Ado - ルル [RuLe]
70

Maybe I'm crazy but I like this song even if the production isn't anything special and ado is overdoing it with the vocals.

Jamie Paige - BIRDBRAIN
100

I can not get over how good Jamie Paige makes vocaloid sound. Also, the composition is so lively and colorful it brightens up my day with every play.

"But regardless of all that, it just does a great job wrapping up the concept of the album. I don't think I can express what makes the song so good in words, but just trust me when I say this: give the album another listen. It doesn't have to be soon, but genuinely feels like you are missing something. Maybe I just have a greater tolerance for long songs, but I doubt that considering I have historically disliked long songs."

"I'm glad you listened to peak, but alls I'm saying is Famous Prophets is in my top 3 CSH songs. It didn't really click for me on my first listen but I've found it to be the most rewarding on subsequent listens. To be honest, I'm not really sure what you mean by it not being dynamic enough though. It has a similarly complicated song structure like Beach Life-In-Death, and has significant development over the course of it's massive runtime. It also calls back to previous tracks, like with the "The ocean washed over/open your grave" line from BLID, the painstar from Nervous Young Inhumans, and the opening lines from My Boy repeated on the drop into the ending monologue. (continued in next reply lol)"
