Eunuchs - Harbour Century

I don't understand what this rambling Australian man is saying, but it all sounds so prophetic. I have been anticipating this album for some time and it does not disappoint. With its fusions of jazz, experimental rock, progue rock, and hysterical ramblings, I was spellbound and converted to whatever drug fueled cultist teachings that happen down under.

Hannah Frances - Keeper Of The Shepherd

I've never heard of Hannah Frances before. Listening to the opening track Browlyn, I was really taken away and drawn in by the poetic vocals and Avant-folk instrumentals. The album is about the religious trauma that was forced upon her as a child and the trauma that has stayed with her even in the death of her father whom she grieves for.
The second song "Keeper of The Shephard", is a plucky folk song, about her dad dying in her arms, and a part of her being lost with him. ... read more

First time hearing about Nadine Shadah, and now it looks like I got to check out her four previous albums, because this is really good and so instrumentally intriguing and lyrically provoking through out. God do I feel bad for Nadine after reading up more about her beyond devastating forthcomings before the production of the album. Nadine's mom developed stage 4 lung cancer in 2018 and the devastation of caring for her mother and seeing her physically becoming frail, slowly dying of the ... read more

Friko - Where we've been, Where we go from here

The rawness of this album, and at times gut wrenching vocals by Niko Kapetan, left me stricken emotionally by the end. This is such a great album and definitely one I will go back to.

"Where we've been, Where we go from here" is Chicago based post punk band Friko's debut album, and what a solid debut. The album doesn't feel just like your average post punk band, the albums sentimental, emotional, lively, and an expression of passion. The songs range from distorted, visceral vocals ... read more

Far Apart - Hazel

I heard about the band through a random Youtube suggestion when listening to 90's underground alt albums. The song Hazel has stuck with me since I heard it over a year ago, and like others was about to throw some hands when I heard it was taken off Spotify, but since then it is back on Spotify. On Spotify there is just three songs, Hazel, Dartmouth, and Overdrive. They released a 7 inch record in 1997, and had some success, but never signed for a record label. a couple years later then breaking ... read more
