Some great tracks on here, but it feels uninspired, uninteresting and corporate. Although as I said, there are great tracks on here (Cracker Island, Silent Running, Skinny Ape) the rest are slow or album filler.
I love the Gorillaz, but this is probably my least favourite album by them.
Definitely an album ever. Second best Pink Floyd album in my opinion, second to wish you were here.
I liked it a lot
However, the first half felt too similar to ‘In the court of the crimson king’. Despite that, I enjoyed those songs. It also felt like this album had a lot of filler, missing some meaning, story, or world building. Again, saying that, I enjoyed those songs too. This is by no means a bad album, or a let down. It just tried too hard to be like king crimson’s debut album.
