Points for fitting title, took a lot of patience to get through this whole album, good lord this shit is long.
Had the same experience through every song of thinking they were gonna expand the inital idea of the song and getting excited about what they might do, only to slowly realize that they weren't gonna expand at all and stay the exact same the entire way through.
The lead singer sounds too much like Bono and it's pissing me off. And as an Irish person, I can safely say, why the fuck is this so fucking long. Cut this Joshua tree down.
I don't actually remember anything from this album and I listened to it like 4 days ago, I remember I liked it though so I'm judging the wisdom of past Lorcan. Good job past Lorcan. Hey thanks future Lorcan, you the goat. Aww thanks past Lorcan you really know how to make me blush. Yup
These Tame Impala guys really got some potential. No one man could ever swing their big elepant trunk aroud like this. Also tell the singer to stop sounding so much like John Lennon, it's making me fired up.
I really like the guy doing the weird ass singing on Jungle Boogie. It really does sound like they got some fucking creature from the jungle to appear on that song.
Listened with prejudice. Worst mistake of my life. George blew up my mother's head from the grave.
Great to finally listen to the album that "I'm in love with my car" is on. Was cursious to see if there was anything as good/influencial on it. Spoiler alert: there wasn't.
Listened to this while skiing. Had me moving like a Hellcat V8 going through a fucking school zone as if I was dying and there was a second chance of life at the other side.
Me when I'm disappointed: I'm quite disappointed.
Me when someone drops something heavy on my foot: YEEEEEOOOUUUUUCHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who the FUCK is the John drawing looking at like that. He needs wipe that smug fucking look off his face before I get fired up.
I was so ready to take points off for that misleading ass title, cause like if you were so scared of music you would not make a whole album full of it. I don't like being lied to. HOWEVER, David Byrne does sound like he was quite nervous the whole way through this album, so perhaps he was just facing his fears. Well done Davis Burned, you are brave.
I don't know how it took me this long to realize that the space cowboy is a reference to marajuana. Mary Jane. The jazz cabage. A bit of the devils lettice. The herb devine. Reefer. That good kush. Weed.
This is my first James Cole album. He has a lot of potential, very excited to see where he goes from here. Can't wait for the fall on to drop.
