It's short. It's dumb. It's fun. Nerds (which populate a majority of this site) will hate this album. I was looking forward to this album. I got what I wanted. I haven't been album to go stupid to it yet. I have a bad neck this week. But when I do, I expect the score to go up. Simply put, don't go into a Ramones album expecting Talking Heads. This album still, to this day, gets a lot of unfair hate. I like this album better than any AFI album. Maybe that says something. But we don't need to claim Graves. Nazi Punks, you know?
Absolutely genius, or tortuously annoying. Call it. Don't listen to this album if you're having a bad day. It WILL make it worse. I used to listen to this album a lot when I was like 15. Take that information as you will. The album tells you everything you need to know. It's clown music. Very well-done clown music though. This album is corny but it works. I think I used to like this album more. But it's still good. Favor House is still hard as hell. The Crowing, Three Evils, In Keeping Secrets. There's a lot of "cringy" parts on this album. The Camper Velourium series is full of them. And I'm not entirely sold on the cheerleader bit at the end of Blood Red Summer. And of course, naming a song "2113" is definitely worthy of an eye roll.
