This album makes me wish I was a 2013 Tumblr girl.

For The 1975’s first album, it sounds amazing. I know they have been making music since the early 2000s, but having their first studio album sound so good and not outdated over a decade later is great.

I used to like Imagine Dragons until I learned how to achieve a personality and better taste in music, but I actually do not mind this one. Ado absolutely adds personality and expression to the track, but the band itself feels more expressive in a not-blaring-or-overly-cringe sort of way. I have come back to this one just a couple of listens, and I believe it’s definitely one of their better tracks especially compared to whatever else they decided to curse everyone with.
Is it nostalgia or bad music taste? I don’t care since I genuinely love this song. In a world of crappy TikTok artists, I actually really enjoyed Bella since she first dropped this song despite what other people say.

This was my top song on Spotify of 2025 with 512 listens. I love it so much, and it sounds a lot like Graveyard Girl by M83. The repetitive riff on the outro of the song is such a good representation of addiction and the cycle of it all (if that’s why the riff loops that is).
I’m my opinion, this song IS The 1975. It would definitely be one of the first songs I’d show to a person if they want to get into the band.
JOJO GET THE AI OFF UR SHIT
The only part of this song that is close to “Espresso" is the title, besides that, the song doesn’t really have any resemblance.

The production is pretty standard for a JoJo song with the vocals being the most lackluster part of it all.
