Banger. Exactly one note: there's not enough bass in the mix. But apart from that, fantastic song, and Skye's vocals are the best they've ever been.
If I got a nickel for every time this year there was an AOTY contender electropop album about the eventual disintegration of a relationship then I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
Unfortunately recency bias and hype inflated my previous score quite significantly.
While the production on this project is fantastic, and when she actually decides to sing Slayyyter sounds fantastic, the vocals and songwriting are frequently over-the-top and honestly annoying.
Best song: DANCE...
Worst song: I'M ACTUALLY KINDA FAMOUS
Although the vocals are a little weak at times, overall this is a creative metal album with some really interesting production.
Underscores...U are a genius.
On her new album, Underscores combines her classic hyperpop sound with more pop-focused production, forgoing the detailed storytelling of Wallsocket for a series of songs written about a relationship, from infatuation to struggling with commitment, to the eventual end. Every lyric is written based on an honest, real-life struggle, and even though it's framed by rigid electropop production, this album feels distinctly human.

I…I have been sleeping on peak. I had no idea what to expect but it shattered my expectations anyway.
This is probably a bit of a hot take, but this may be my favorite Noah Kahan track ever. And I am, of course, a sucker for slow builds (which this song manages to couple with a traditional pop song structure somehow). This is "stomp clap hey" done right, and I'm excited to hear ... read more
The synths are fine. The lyrics are fine. The production is good. The vocals are good. The guitar needs some work. The songwriting is a bit generic. Overall, still a decent single.
How does a song that doesn’t change the chord for the first two minutes still manage to be this engaging?
This was the track that fully cemented Quadeca’s status as greatest YouTube rapper of all time. Thank you for your art Quirkle, it makes the world a slightly more tolerable place to exist in.
David Guetta’s music is the torture anthem of GAP employees and shoppers all across the US
This is the most british album I've ever listened to (in this case that's a compliment)
75 > 80
I have relistened and gained a new appreciation for the sheer riffage of this album.
In the highly oversaturated scene of metalcore, ERRA manages to…do basically the exact same thing as every other artist. They do it pretty well though.
