This record was only meant to be a b-side compilation which only brings a truly humbling and genuine aspect to it. Nina’s way of singing in this album is truly intimate, yet she still preserves a certain vocal control, only giving us so much to witness of her.
Maybe that’s the reason why Wild is the Wind feels so genuine and effortlessly feminine, which moves me to my deepest core.

Hopelessness is both intimate and political. Anohni's songwriting is bold, minimalistic, and striking.

a very pleasant vocal jazz album however it doesn't have the atmospherical magic of Vol.1
This album is trying to do so much that it isn’t doing much in the end.
The accumulation of the experimental instrumentation (the jazziest part reminding me of maruja), the heavy production, the background vocals + the songwriting makes it to overwhelming, stoping me from rly diving into the project
